not really they tend to play with their food. even once its long dead throwing it up into the air over and over.

they do it for fun.

Well no because Facebook doesn't have whale as a sign up option. They just share them between themselves. Not their fault Facebook is whalist.

We have awful eyesight and sense of smell (compared to a lot of mammals), we don't have sonar or self powered flight, we can't see in infrared or the ability to sense Earth magnetic field. We cannot scale walls unaided or see in slow motion to prevent attacks. We cannot change colour to fit our surroundings or shoot cyanide from our fingers. We cannot shapeshift or pull over 1,000 times our own body weight. We cannot jump the equivalent of a skyscraper or regrow lost limbs. We cannot imitate any sound we hear (very well) or sense electricity fields or even produce our own electricity from our bodies. We cannot make ourselves young again (potentially immortality) and we are not immune to explosions.

All of the above are skills/powers that some species posses. So why you think being able to walk upright and have opposable thumbs (both of which aren't unique to humans anyway) is something to brag about I don't know.

we can fly, we can detect every part of the em spectrum, we can map mavity of the earth, we can detect the composition of the ground beneath our feet we can fly for longer and further and faster than any animal can

we can even go into space.

none of those skills compares to the skill of invention.

There is no money (or more accurately, no one interested in stumping up the sheer amount of money) to support these species otherwise. We're talking about Africa here. Also poachers are the biggest problem who kill whatever they can get to feed their poor family. Rich peeps like these are funding anti poaching campaigns.

im pretty sure it was his documentary where he said they did it for fun , typically the younger males.

as they don't always do this.

I thought I did see one of the pictures where she was armed with a hunting bow, but I might be mistaken, not sure what the kill was in that picture.
 
Her main profile page has a picture of her drawing a bow but I didn't see any hunting with it. (Could be wrong). Regardless guns are not sporting in hunting really.

Only in very recent history. For the vast majority of our species history we haven't been able to do any of those things and even now we need to put ridiculous amounts of effort in to be able to (just think how many resources and man hours it takes to make just one plane)

Faster I'll give you, but the humble swift has been known to fly without landing for 200 days straight. You can't even get to Australia without needing to land to refuel.

I fully endorse killing animals that may threaten your life or for food but This stuff is just stupid in the modern day. Shooting a load of nearly tame/farmed animals with a bow and arrow is so 1337 and respectable.
