I mentioned it to someone at the time who reckoned they might be trying to scare me into calling my defence solicitor to get their contact details and settle money with them. Something I wouldn't dream of doing but do you think that was their intent? Seems very childish and pointless otherwise.
 
Try and forget about it and chalk it up to New Labour 'rubbing (their) noses in diversity'. People who are going to bum you up are hardly going to call and tell you beforehand.
 
I have to admit since hearing about some of the tricks used by fraudsters on the roads these days, I try to be alert and will rarely pull out of a junction where someone indicates until they turn in etc.

I'm glad in your case that foul play was detected and assume you should now have grounds for a counter claim?
