I went out tonight but left the nightclub real early, really wasn't feeling it :(
Anyone else do this? My friend was trying to hook up me up but I didn't want to at all (still not over my ex).

He was trying to leave me with her but I said don't, he did anyways.

I just hated that environment so I left and walked home alone, feel real crap (it'll pass). It was good to see my friends but I wasn't enjoying it at all :/

Anyone else had a bad night tonight?

I had to do 4 hours overtime tonight, i'd count that as bad.

Although I have been in your situation before. Being forced into an awkward scenario that you do not wish to be in is not a nice thing.

Snap 4 hours overtime tonight lol. Having a bit of a bad night but only due to having picked up a cold/sore throat off the back of suffering from hay fever due to the ultra high pollen levels thr/fri. (Don't usually get it but it was so high it triggered it this time).

I rarely enjoy clubs that much (trance scene aside) just not interested in most of the people or the music.

I'm 25 years old and I went to an Italian restaurant that is very hard to get a table at, then ended up at the local for a few quiet pints.

I think I'm 50 btw. I can't stand nightclubs and I would much rather sit in the local with a few mates and actually be able to hear what they are saying. #oldbeforemytime

Yes I just used a hashtag on OcUK, so what.

No bananas in the club? :p

Nothing worse than being forced into a wingman situation like that though...actually AIDS is pretty bad but whatever

What restaurant is that?

can't stand night clubs, why would i pay money to poison myself in a room with the approximate temperature/humidity of the rainforest, population density about 50x higher than tokyo and noise levels that mean you can't so much hear as feel your eardrums melting?
plus we have to add in the factors of "pop music" auto-tuned garbage, the random kids that appear everywhere and people randomly starting fights/vomiting and the spilled drinks managing to turn the floor into a frictionless material.

sponge has the right idea, quiet pub, with pool tables that aren't wrecked and a few mates, bit of banter and hell even without booze that's a good night out. maybe a jukebox locked to pre-1990 music and no volume control [pre-set to quiet].

It's not just you, nightclubs are just a bit ****. I'm 21 and I've never enjoyed them. Give me a nice pub with a choice of real ales and good company over an overheated and overcrowded meat market that plays crap music and charges way too much to get in anyday.

Yep I'd take a pub over that any day :p Although I spent the majority of my early childhood in WMC.

Maybe try a club thats not chicago rock, oceana or similar :P

or try to remember that i've been awake for too long and should tone down my reactions to things i see on the internet :D

Aptly describes my local "cattle market" heh, last time I was in there saw a guy relieving himself against a fire exit, someone else throwing up in the same spot 5 minutes later and some chavy little **** started a fight with someone seemingly at random and when he got beat down turned up a bit later with his 20 mates.

EDIT: Its one of the few things I miss from living in London, can atleast find some decent clubs there, not much choice down here.

Agree about nightclubs, I used to like them but I just can't anymore. I think that's what I've learned tonight :/ I only really went out because my friend wanted me to. I do feel bad though that I left him in there without saying goodbye, the alcohol just hit me fast and made me feel really really crap.

Just trying to get out of the funk I got in and asking myself why I didn't like it so much.

I just think I'm done with drinking. Booze is like pouring cement in your fuel tank. Its just crap. Its like greasing up your hands before you go rock climbing. Its like head butting a wall to look better. Its like pouring sand in your smoothy. You can still perform but you perform in spite of the booze/slodgness.

I've not drank a drop of booze since April and I've never felt better. Its a sad industry and preys on youth, health and relies on 'tradition' to continue. I'd rather drink some fruit juice when I'm out with mates. Then you can tell when you're REALLY having a good time or not.

Screw it I'm staying sober. Gonna Smash life as a teetotaler.

Just Googling up 'drunk images'. Don't wanna be in that caliber group.

I just dont have time to waste escaping reality via booze and talking a lot but not really saying anything.
Been there, done that.
Just got life time to live these days. Besides, there is enough boring drunks or semi drunk sheep out there to keep the other sheep company.

Sorry sheep. ;)
Everyday is the day. Life is the party. Every moment is a celebration.
