I've decided that over the next few weeks I'd like to change from my current lg w2363d to something new.

I've been looking into different things to do and I've not really managed to narrow it down a lot, I have thought of six different ways that I could change, these are:

- Go to a single 4k monitor

This is the one that I would go for probably

- Go Eyefinity with one of the ocuk eyefinity bundles (probably)

- Get a 144Hz monitor and possibly think about getting more to eventually get an eyefinity setup

- Get one of those ultra wide lg monitors

- Get a large screen tv like a 42" one

- Get a 1080p projector

So, as you can see, I am in need of some help :p

Some possibly useful things for help resons:

My budget is probably gonna be £600 maximum

My PC's important specs are:

i7 920 (planning on overclocking this soon)
6gb of OCZ reaper ram
Sapphire Tri-x R9 290x

If you indeed don't have a TV in the same room yet, it would definitely work out as a great combo. If you end up going that route, I would suggest one of these:

Sony KDL42W705B
Sony KDL42W653

They're pretty much the same, the first one is from 2014, the second is from 2013. Whichever you can find, it's all good. Those two models are currently the input lag champions in HDTV side, and they should be good for computer usage, too. Even for gaming. Though they require a 1m viewing distance, at minimum.

Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations for the other categories. Outside of those categories, I would suggest the Asus SonicMaster MX279H, which I've been suggesting as a good general purpose alternative, for a reasonable price.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look into those tvs, although I need to see how much room I will have once I move into my new house on Thursday if I want to go that route :)

The only thing that bugs me about that monitor is the fact that since it's a 1080p one at 27", I think that the pixel depth would annoy me, as it does just now because my laptop has a 1080p 17" screen and I can see a noticeable difference in terms of quality, so I think I'd want to go for a 1440p 27" if I was going down that route :p

Anyone else got any suggestions? I'm currently looking at the £200 aoc 144hz monitors, I'm not sure if I should get more than one though. I'd also love to get one of the rog swifts, but they're a bit expensive for what they bring, and finally I'm also considering one of the acer 4k gsync monitors, although I can't use gsync (damn 290x :P )
