A search on Google directed me to this site and a thread regarding these games, yet after registering here, the sites own search engine couldn't find it, hence this new thread for my question. I bought the 'Focus' budget re-release of these games (both in one pack) but can't find anywayto adjust the resolution on either of them. Although (according to the old avertising blurb they're capable of running in 1024x768, they seem to be stuck on 800x600 or even less (not sure 'cos there's no numbers to check). I gather they're both good games but they look really 'orrible at the moment. So, if anyone out there knows how to adjust the resolution, please let me know.

I don't want to contradict you, but I read somewhere in the offical blurb for the game that it can run in 1024x768, also many screenshots show such definition?

Maybe that's where I got confused. Still, thanks to all for your input. I guess I'll just chuck 'em and look for something a little more recent.

LOMAC is pretty good - lock on, modern air combat

Depends if you want a flight sim or arcade fun game like F22 lightening / Raptor / II / III

Falcon 4.0 and LOMAC are proper sim's. No pressing - for afterburners then cursor down to take off. Its full pre flight prep stuff, then a lot of key combinations to even get off the ground. Think 300 page manual

Agreed but LOMAC doesn't have the brilliant dynamic campaign of 4.0

Besides you can turn the settings down to arcade iirc, I played it for years on that setting because it as just as fun.

Also you can choose to start on the end of the runway too with engines running just to skip the boring bit. Also if you quit after meeting the mission objectives the AI will just fly your plane home so it doesn't count as a loss

Sadly, I've made no progress with F-22, however after installing the 'glide' program, MiG-29 is running fine in 1024x768. 'That'll do Pig. That'll do'.
I've also got hold of LOMAC & Falcon to try later on.
Thanks to all for the advice.
