Another PSU question - put my mind at ease?

Hi guys, another PSU related question for you all... I'm wondering if my XFX Pro 750W 80+ Silver (744W on +12v) will be adequate for the following system. Anandtech's test system with these cards in Furmark draws 670W total but I don't know what the test system spec is, and PSU calculator sites recommend 775W minimum, but I know these can over-quote the required wattage sometimes.

Spec:

2500K @ 4.6GHz (1.38V) 2700K @ 5GHz (1.40v)
P8Z68-V Pro
16GB Vengeance 1600MHz (1.5V - 4 sticks)
2x R9 280X WindForce (CFX) 2x HD7970 GHz (CFX)
Xonar Essence STX
1x 7200RPM HDD
1x 5900RPM green HDD
1x SSD
4x 120MM fans & 1x 200MM LED fan
NZXT 2 meter white LED strip

I'm sure it will be absolutely fine for day to day use and gaming, but what if I were to overclock the GPU's? Or if I were to fold or mine?

Thanks folks. :)

It's that extra 280X that would make be think twice, it should be fine but I'd advise spending a tad more and getting an 850 just for peace of mind.

It would probably be ok but I'd likely pick the 850W as well, just so the PSU isn't getting too hot.

Remember that 670W drawn from the wall includes the efficiency losses so would likely be supplying 550W-600W to the actual components.

I don't know if Anandtech's figures are from the wall or not. I'll try and find out.

Should just clarify that I already have the whole PC and have done for several years, the only difference is the GPU upgrade. :)

trust me you'll end up upgrading the psu in the end :P

Slight update to this thread, things have taken a minor change of course. I'm guessing 750W (744W on the 12v) would be equally ill advised for a pair of 7970 GHz editions in CFX and a 2700K at 1.4v?
