Filter jug OK for flushing?

I have a cheap old Brita filter jug (with a new filter fitted). I was thinking of using this to create free plentiful water for flushing. Will it do, or should I buy some deionized?

Just get some deionized battery water, its 3 quid from halfords for 5 liters.

I just flush with good old fashioned tap water for the main. then a couple though with deionised as its the only thing you can get easily (Halfords etc) and then fill up with coolant.

job done. I don't see the point of flushing Distilled water straight down the plug hole as its too expensive (for no logical reason) in the UK

Personally I can't see anything wrong with using your Brita filter Jug to filter the water your going to use for your cooling loop. I mean it certainly can't do any harm
