*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Forza just bores me senseless and I don't know why.

I liked 4 but 5 I find boring and lifeless. It also feels like all the cars have plastic tyres.

I loved Gotham and from what I have read this is meant to be similar. I'm hoping it's not another Tech Demo a bit like Killzone and is fun to play.

They should release Grid Autosport on PS4 and Xbox one as it is a fantastic game on PC and no reason why it would not run well on these systems as well.

I guess that depends on your view of what constitutes challenging mental stimulation... certainly staying home looking after the kids every day would not be at the top of most mens "life fulfilment" lists. :)

Been there, done that.

Never felt so alone and out of my depth. All of the Sure Start stuff is aimed at women, baby groups.... all aimed at women. Coffee mornings listening to chicks talk about how useless men are. Great.

Even went to one place where the only baby changing matts were in the the women's toilets so I wasn't allowed to use them. In the end I just changed his crappy nappy in the middle of the room while they all ate their sandwiches.

Send your other half out to work and look after the kids on your own, you won't get bored then trust me!

Haha, yeah when the kids are here they keep you busy, housework etc, but when they are at school, not having something to challenge you or a goal to achieve isn't a good thing imho. From that perspective it can become very boring. Time with friends, Hobby's can take up time (Reading, forums, gaming, TV etc) but if you're the type that needs to be active and involved in things being at home sick from work can be very negative in that respect.

Yeah exactly this, and that's not to say looking after family isn't fulfilling enough, each person is different and it's good for some to have personal goals or things they want to achieve for themselves. When faced with not being able to do these things it can be a hard adjustment for some.

I was medically discharged from the forces with bowel disease. Finding an employer who is willing to give you a job based on my needs is impossible. It made more sense for me and the wife to swap roles as such.

I don't get bored although I miss working. Between hobbies, Friends and 3 kids I have more than enough to keep me entertained.

:)

Ah sorry to hear that mate. I'm finding adjusting to not working atm hard. I hear what you're saying about finding an employer willing to employ based around your needs, as I am in the same boat, wandering what I could do with these current limitations. Considering some voluntary work that I could maybe do while my back is bad. Even if it was only a few hours within my limits ya know. Never know, the longer this goes on maybe I will adjust?

Back on topic :p

Driveclub looks awesome !

Agree with your take on Forza 5.

In regards to Grid Autosport I haven't played it but it does look decent, maybe we'll see a 'remastered' version at some point.

Mine arn't in school yet so I'm not at that point but I know what you mean, I miss going out to work. I actually run my own business too, from home, so between that and the kids I never stop, perhaps you could consider doing the same?

All this means I get about 30 minutes a day to play my PS4 so if anyone wants to borrow a child for the day just ask :)

Edit, yep Driveclub does look great, just my type of game I think.

Anyone bought games from the usa store? I'm looking at destiny as the limited edition with the dlc works out at around £52.00. I'm not sure how this would work online?

@ justbeats, yeah I'm looking at different options atm, need to find something to get stuck into to. In your case running a business from home, things might get easier for you when your kids do go to school. You will have that time to focus on work etc.

Yeah I heard about that performance boost. It's something to do with a part of Sony called ICE. They are headed by Naughty dog, they done most if not all the tech to improve Ps3 preformance.

Just completed Bound by flame, I'd heard it was crap but I really needed a rpg to play...big mistake

What a clunky POS! And the difficulty curve was mental, first act was easy and I was playing on hard, soon as I got to the second act normal grunts were one shotting me. I eventually turned the difficulty down in the third act but tbh I didn't see a difference, grunts were still killing me stupidly quick.

Not worth the time or money at all :/

I gave up on chapter three, I've got a high tolerance for crappy games normally but it was just rotten.
