*** Nokia Lumia 930 ***

I loved my iPhones but tbh I'm tired of them and Apple and want a change.

I hate the Android interface otherwise one of their nice shiney big phones would be great. That said their new Android L interface/gui looks more the kind of thing I could go for..........

Get a big shiny android, look at Roms/interfaces that take your fancy and hey presto best of both? Only thing I miss about Apple is the games, as they always seem more polished, while some Android games are certainly up there the majority of the market is swamped with utter crud.

I am holding out my upgrade from a Note 2 for either this 930.. or a Note 4. I do like some of the features on the 920 so shall see what this brings to the market and how it utilizes it all.
 
Fair point, I just hate the android interface as it stands. Not to mention my life online is linked to Microsoft not google.

Interestingly Clove have it for £435 sim free. Check out the picture that details the extras pack. The website link doesn't work yet for me

The link just above the YouTube video is working for me at the moment and gives full details about the offer, including colours etc.

To summarise: The free DT-601 wireless charging plate is included in the box, and will be Black in colour irrespective of the phone colour.

The phone will ship ahead of the bundle. The bundle will follow approximately 28 days after the phone and will be delivered to the same address as the phone.

The MD-12 speaker and DC-50 wireless charger in the bundle will be WHITE in colour. The colour cannot be changed.

The DC-50 wireless charger has a 2,400 mAh battery built in and can charge your 930 without the need to be connected to the mains.


Hopefully other outlets will be selling it at the same... or possibly an even cheaper price! :)

Fair enough, if your tried of Apple then WP is a great alternative, just check the market place to see if your missing any key apps and give the L930 a try. Since your buying online you should get 1-2 weeks to return it incase you totally hate it.

Only app I'll miss is the remote heating control from British gas. That said the screen should be big enough that the web portal will be ok to use.
 
The camera on the 1020 has been the main reason I've returned a few of the top android phones, none of them have came close. The 930 looks nice and I like the styling but again, even with the 1080p screen and the faster processing I doubt I'll swap the 1020 for it.
 
Ordered one from Carphone Warehouse earlier, should be delivered on the 17th. Went for the black one.

Am I right in thinking I'll get two wireless chargers out of this? If there's one in the box with the phone plus the one with the preorder pack thing? Bonus if so :)
 
Looks good, if it is cheap enough off contract i may get one to try. Especially liked the cortana feature that ms has been promoting. Lets just hope that the market place will have more apps.

I don't think there's a wireless charger in the box as standard. I believe it's only a wired charger and the free wireless from the offer.

Nope, wireless charger in the box as well. And a portable wireless charger in the offer (ie has a battery in it, so it doesn't need to be plugged into a power source)
 
I actually feel quite happy about ditching my iPhone 5 for the 930... Looking forward to a new OS to play with.

I wonder if I will still be as happy once I get my hands on it :D
 
Still waiting on O2 to start taking pre-orders. I asked their on-line chat this morning and got told they have nothing to reveal at this time..less than a week to go O2 =/

They have already dropped their price of the Green option from £479.95 down to £457.80 and of course are offering their 'Pre-order Price Guarantee' which means that you will only pay the lowest price they offer it at before launch day... although they do actually state that "This item is due to be released on July 21, 2014."

There is no mention of the free bundle though, which I find a bit odd!

Other third party sellers on there are currently quoting £430 + p&p so it looks as if the prices haven't finally stabilised yet.

It is still quite a bit tempting though... but only with the bundle!
 
£435 on clove with speaker and extra charger pad bundle...damn it..im getting sucked in.

Damn what colour!

Black green or Orange, being in Belfast the colours are questionable this time of year lol

Nevermind, no here to talk me out of it within 5 mins so I took that as a sign to order the orange one.
