I would buy where i work in a way that no one knows its me, then start messing around at work, feet on the desk playing ps vita all day that kind of thing, basically have fun winding the supervisors and managers up. Get a couple of warnings and have a laugh when i get the final one.

That sounds like fun. I'd do the same but I'm not sure I could afford to buy Lloyds. :p (£847.030 billion last year)
 
I'd buy a Helicopter business/Flying school so that I had a company Chopper whenever I need it but the business could cover the X's

I'd buy a fair few hotels around the World so I had a Penthouse when & where I wanted/needed it.

I'd buy a Security company so I had the latest Security tech to protect my stuffs.

Finally I'd buy one of those Islands off the coast of Australia & start building 4T5 World. :cool:


In amongst all that I'd be riding Top Doris like they were seaside Donkeys at Southend.
 
I would like to buy a football club, probably the easiest way to lose all your money! If i won something like 100mil+ I would probably buy a non-controlling stake in a club, to get an insight in to how things work and probably wait 5-10yrs before trying to actually run a club.
 
I wouldn't do anything work related as there is so much to do that money, and time, will allow you the opportunity.
 
I forgot to add buy a Race Track & 12 Identical CBR600RR's & invite everybody over to Race. :D
 
I'd buy a field in a semi desirable place where people can keep their caravans as that seems to be where the moneys at, I'd invest in property too as that keeps rising :cool:
 
Only if you lack imagination, then again I already get to do what I want for endless hours of the day, winning the EuroMillions would be great for peace of mind but would kill my craving for proving myself everyday at the same time. I have motivations of getting rich fuelling me right now, so just luckily winning such an amount would be a thrill and a motivation killer at the same time.

I'd probably get to work within a month figuring out ways to invest most of that money as wisely as possible, obviously people who know their **** making the decisions for me with a proven track record.

I'd make sure I buy a couple of homes and have a nice little cash reserve so if the worst should happen with my investments I'm still comfortable for the rest of my life. In reality I wouldn't get bored but I probably wouldn't have as much fun as I imagine in my head either right now thinking about it.

I think peace of mind would easily be the best thing about winning the lottery, knowing everyday you can do what you want when you want, that'd be a great feeling. I'm sure like you said once I have all the toys and I realise they're not as great as I'm imagining that could make life very dull. But I'd take that over a lot of day to day worries constantly. If the worst you have to worry about is how boring and dull your life is while surrounded by what millions can only dream of having, lucky you.

I've entered 4 lucky dips for tonight, the struggle will continue as always tomorrow ;)
 
Just bought 2 tickets for tonight because of this thread. :D

I think the hardest thing about winning is knowing who you can trust and who is there for you because they like you rather than your money, so with that in mind I'd take care of all my friends and family (if they wanted it).

Then I'd go about doing the things I want to now but can't afford, pilots licence (plane and helicopter) and track cars.

Is it still the case that even if you win load of money, it's better off to get houses on mortgages rather than buy outright.

The reasoning being that apparently the interest you'd pay on a mortgage is lower than the interest you'd gain on the money spent on buying a house outright.

I'm just going on second hand info and it's most likely a load of rubbish. The guy who told me was really convincing when I was drunk. :D

I very much doubt this to be the case now with terrible interest rates.

I would likely buy a few properties in cool places around the world; London, NY, Maldives, Monaco etc. Would also travel all the time, on and off, experiencing as much 'other' culture as I could. I expect I would also (eventually) start a buy to let business, buying worn down houses/flats and renovating them, then putting them up for rent. Build myself a decent portfolio and hopefully earn more money that I won.
