Just got some MA750's today. Seem impressed so far, build feels solid, nice cable, great little details on the design. Might take some pictures later if I get chance :P

Next step, portable dac/amp.

Just got the Schiit Vali the other day. I thought it was a harsh amp but I got mixed up with the Magni. The Vali is very good, dynamics are awesome! It's on a slightly warmer side but I would say it's very very close to neutral. It pairs we'll with all my headphones.

The Q701 pairs amazingly well I'd say if you have the Q701 it's an endgame setup on a budget. I prefer the Vali over the Aune's, Little Dot and E12.
 
I hear the noise floor is quite high, is it noticeable?
I'm considering getting one of these and feeding it from the Aune T1's line out.
 
Mines dead silent! No ringing at all, not even when tapped which was a big thing on reviews. Either I'm lucky or they sorted out the issue.
 
Y SO DUSTY?!?!? Would be oh so sexy otherwise :( If I had that setup I would love and cherish it, daily dusting, weekly polishing! :D How much of a pain in the rear do you find getting 4 paired tubes?

Gets that way & haven't got a cleaner / can't be arsed doing it frequently myself ;) Even though the wife hasn't had a job in over a year... she isn't so fond of housework... dang it!! ;)

Easy enough on the tubes... there is a UK seller who stock a whole paired set for that specific amp & the seller in China/Hong Kong sell paired sets too... they're doing quite well for themselves... think over 5000 positive reviews :)
 
Are you not into tube rolling?? Supplied valves are generally lackluster compared to alternatives.

A semi decent set of quads would be less then 200.

No rush... good reminder though - I haven't ordered the replacement set yet, so perhaps it will be worth doing some research :)

Standard, I was going to buy the upgrade boards and install myself as it is pretty easy but I am now thinking I will just upgrade everything and go back to full solid state.

To me the uber board makes a massive difference, seems to open everything up.
