The VW Corrado VR6 is the best VW ever made.

My opinion:

The Golf GTI is the best VW ever made.

If I had to have a VW at this point, I'd have an R32. But I think the GTI is the better car. :)

personally prefer the mk4 R32

but i could be tempted with a Rado with a BUB or if money didn't come into it a 3.6 BLV

that said i had a 2.8 vr6 with 268s and a schrick vgi inlet and it was a stormer. cost a fortune but it made a fantastic noise and went well

Just kidding, definitely the original Beetle. It has it's place in automotive and popular culture, and the sales rate is certainly up there!

Let's discuss how this is absolutely true:

1. Fantastic good looks.
2. Handled great for a 192hp FWD car.
3. Great timeless interior.
4. Coupe.

It's not good looking, nor a great design, but I like the looks, it looks aggressive and 'masculine'. The interior is also horrible, horribly bland, black and plasticky.

Beetle is the best car VW have made.

Its certainly the most attached I've ever felt to a vag stable car, however it was also the most unreliable, by a stretch.

They'll turn into a classic, but can't trump the beetle for best car they've ever made, followed by the mk1 ( or maybe even 2) gti

A Golf GTi in Bright Blue Metallic. Mk2.

1. I think it looks rather odd especially at the back end and rear lights
2. I've not driven one so can't comment. Is the VR6 all alloy? even so i can't imagine having a big V6 at the front doing all that much for the handling.
3. It looks just a bland as everything else VW was making back then..
4. it sure is

:D

Well obviously I am just a little biased. But I would have my Corrado over any of the mk1, mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk3 Golf VR6, mk4 V6 and mk6 GTIs that I have owned. I adore mine and often get out of expensive modern cars back into it and far prefer it. It sounds wonderful and the steering and handling is fantastic. I bought it to scratch an itch but fell in love with it. Granted it isn't that fast compared to a lot of modern cars but for a 20+ year old car it really does perform well, particularly mid range. I've even had people walk over from the far side of a car park to talk to me about it which gives a nice warm glow inside :) So far it has been the most reliable car I have owned and when the lack of depreciation is taken into account it costs peanuts to run. The Corrado community is very friendly too.

Absolutely no regrets buying one.
