Asus Z07 Deluxe mystery header

ok so my Z97 is finally behaving itself. Isnt it amazing what a BIOS update can do!

but here's the question. On the board there is a mystery 4 pin header. I cannot see any label on the board and it isn't referenced in the manual.

Its right below the XMP switch and above the CHA_FAN4. if you look in the manual the space is very obvious.

Its not a fan header as it has no socket guide so its a mystery.

I have tried to get a photo but I cant zoom in that far and I dont have anything with a macro mode for that level of detail.

any idea's?

nah lets not eh. it isnt marked as a fan header, doesnt have the guides, NO :rolleyes:

http://techgage.com/article/a-look-at-asus-upcoming-z97-motherboard-lineup/ has a 'larger' image that can show you the area.

As it looks like it's a 3 pin socket in the picture (yes I know you said 4) I'm going to go with chassis intrusion socket

lsg1r you are right its a 3pin header, my bad. there is no intrusion entry in the BIOS though that I could see
