If he LED with his knee, sure, but he didn't lead with his knee at all, in any way. he was leaning forwards with his arm/head above his knee, his knee was simply under him, nothing more or less.

Schumacher intended to clean out the player and did so incredibly dangerously intending to kick him. Not even remotely close to the same thing here.

Yes. Football is a dangerous sport, but that is not a reason not to go for the ball. If it is a header, and a defender gets up above a striker who runs into his knee, it's not a penalty. Same situation.

I don't think that when you're jumping and focussing on the ball, you have time to dodge onrushing Argentinians in a fraction of a second.

Football is a sport where, most of the time, two large men run towards each other really quite fast. There will be occasional challenges which are dangerous, but perfectly fair and within the rules. If you take those challenges out, you have to take most of the pace of the game out as well.
