Kitchen appliances - recommended brands?

AO are very good bought my side by side from them, can't help with any of the other bits except 13amp on an induction must just be one maybe two plates

Nope it was a full four-burner one, but seems like it might cause problems if you were running 3 or 4 at once. Probably better to just go for a proper wired-in one.

Wrong, Neff or Miele and pick up a kitchenaid mixer, and a panasonic bread maker while you're there.

Edit, saw budget.

Neff oven and hob, Bosch washing machine, Panasonic Fridge freezer

Never had a dishwasher (don't see the point) but I'd probably go Bosch for one of them. And a cheap microwave to boot (they all do the same thing).

Dishwashers if you have a large family (anyone more than 2 people) save a lot of money.

Anything over 3Kwatts (3,120 to be exact) and it's needs hard wiring, if thats 3kw your looking at circa 800watts per plate :o

Edit to say just looked at one of ours 7.4Kwatt

just checked it out 2.99KW seriously see that as being very slow to heat anything, be interested in oldcoals opinion as he may of been to there stuff :)

Read a review and someone else said it was quite slow to get up to temperature, and that the boost can only be used on one burner at a time. Will avoid that one!

Cool, ours do a power sharing thing if either both left or both right are on full whack one will drop to just over half power, but full power can be used on one left and one right plate.

Can you get a Costco membership? If you can, I'd recommend joining, and seeing what they have to offer.

They sell quality stuff at good prices, and their customer service is beyond excellent.

We have a costco membership and have found AO.com to be very similarly priced.

Costco was slightly cheaper for our fridge and freezer however with costco we had to get them home ourselves but with AO they were delivered into our kitchen on a Saturday.

AO where approximately £70 cheaper than costco for our tumble drier.

Costco do much better cakes though

Not really when you factor in water, electric, tablets and cost of maintenance and replacement.

Plus you usually need to rinse plates and run some water to wash the pots in the sink if you cooked anything which might have stuck a bit.

Just seems pointless to me, rather just spend a few minutes washing pots as a I cook.

Washing machines, LG without any shadow of a doubt.

I'll just echo this. We have an LG direct drive that's about 3 years old and with us having a baby(now toddler) has been hammered with multiple loads almost every day. Hasn't skipped a beat, washes well, isn't too noisy.

They come with a 10 year warranty as well (although I think this might be on the motor only).

We do 3 - 4 loads on a Sunday we'd now never be without one.

You're obviously not from a very large family. Dishwashers are a must!

I'm from a fairly large family and not only are they not a must but I'm gonna agree with Pitchfork I can't see how they save money. They're a nice luxury but you can just make your kids do the dishes like my parents did.:D
