Anyone shop in Waitrose?

Nope but I did go to asda the other day scanned an item and put it in ma bag.

unexpected item in the bagging area....
apparently the item didn't scan but I heard the beep.....

shouted for assistance guy scanned the screen...

Scanned my next item and unexpected item in the bagging area...... this one scanned properly but then the guy decided to scan all of my items for me....

made me feel like i'm a thief or incompetent but I'm in there almost every 1-3 days spending £20 at a time and never had an issue before.

almost put me off going back tbh if he tries it again I'll just walk and and log a complaint.

I suspect he was the manager as well ****

At any point did you consider talking to the guy?

they don't have any tills on they just say "use self service" in a miserable voice some woman wanted ciggies and the guy still made her put the normal shopping through self service then served her ciggies separately rofl....

I actually complained about it one time because they had the one till on and about 20 people in a queue , 2 shop staff stacking tills and 1 guy doing bugger all.

we were all moaning for about 10 minutes before someone asked where the manager was...... he had been hiding down the back of the shop near the milk........

he still didn't put another till on either just muttered something and went to hide again.

I actually complained to asda about it and they said a new till should always open if the queue is more than a few minutes long...

It's a different manager now but still seems just as badly managed.

The point when I said cheers and walked off lol

but next time I swear he will get it!

during the queue scenario above one shop monkey actually said "anyone want to use the self service tills?" I shouted back "what if we don't want to use the ****** self service tills?"

generally I'm to quiet for my own good though :|

Free coffee, free paper (over £5 or £10), great desserts and cakes and bargain meat last half hour.

Oh, the only decent sushi near me !

Yes I go there.

I use Ocado and only set foot in a supermarket (whether it be Waitrose or Aldi) when I absolutely have to.

There's normally such a queue at the grockle coffee machine that I just go and pay at the cafe.

It's £180 per year, is it that cat coffee?

Yep, that's the one

I go there for the free drinks sometimes as its near the office.

I get my wine from wine sellers, meat from butchers, fruit/veg from greengrocers, rice and spices from asian stores.

I pity all you single-shop people, how joyless your food must be.

Staff in Waitrose are great, always friendly and helpful. It might be a bit more expensive for some items than Tesco & Sainsburys but I've also seen items cheaper. Swings and roundabouts.
