Asrock z77 dead?

Hi

My pc shut down today, now switching it on results in it booting up but no sounds, no LEDs nothing. Tried clearing CMOS same results.

Only got the board in April

What are your specs? If you have 2 sticks of RAM trying testing one at a time in different slots to rule those out.

Thanks tried that with no luck. MB powers but not much else, no warning bleeps or codes numbers from the LEDs seem it just fans running.

CPU fan header has stopped working, just the header not the fan.

If you know how to search, search me.

all my 6 HDD's have turned into dynamic drives! :eek:

Got a Hero Vii z97 and 4790 now. Tring to recover data from the drives.

With smart phones and an ipad this is the first time I've had an issue with my desktop and really can't be bothered to fix it.

no led clock or dr debug clock light up either? if so its died

I hear Asrock boards dying quite often, so glad I ended up deciding between Asus and Gigabyte, Asrock is a part of Asus iirc. To me it does sound like a dead board.

One 1.5 TB dead.
I had 300 GB of photos one each in case something like this would happen.
Used easeUS and it could read one of the drives but my PC is unstable at the mo.
Getting a 512 SSD to put in over the weekend. Fresh install of windows 7 or 8.

Update: put in the TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit
Rock solid.
Thinking of getting another set..phots, videos etc.

The question is, how many does he hear that have been successful… I've heard and seen all manufacturers fail. I've also seen how good all of them have been.

I've had my Asrock z77 for 3 years and it hasn't failed on me. The question here is did you do anything hardware/bios settings wise before it failed?
