Have a meeting room booked for Friday for my team to have some fun and work together, anyone have any ideas or positive experiences of team building / group games?

So far my best idea has been charades :p

What's the goal of the team building? What's the size of the team?

Get out the meeting room and take your team to the pub, or out for lunch or something (you/the company get the bill). Get some conversation going, don't force silly party games on them.

Something I did with a previous team (YMMV) was take the MBTI personality test, which we got someone to talk about for us, then we tried to guess what each other would be. Turns out I'm pretty obvious, and it's a game that works better with Es than Is!

Dropped butt naked into Siberia,
First one that makes it out alive gets a small plastic trophy with their name on it.

Or a large box of axes,
First one to catch and kill the team building organiser gets a small plastic trophy with their name on it.

Loathe team building excercises.
If I wanted to be in a "team" I would have picked a job that I was incapable of doing on my own.

I'm interested in getting one of these small plastic trophies, they sound neat-o!

How long is the meeting room booked for?

I think it's always best to get away from the office. I used to go out partying with my colleagues once a month (happens less now in my new workplace), and I always thought that helped people let their hair down and show their "true" selves.

Room's booked for an hour and it's midday (unfortunately can't get hammered and then go back to work! :p)

The group will be 15-20 and the aim is just to have a break on a Friday afternoon and encourage them to interact with people they don't normally speak to etc

Is it instead of their lunch break?
