****Official Project CARS thread****

Does this game have penalising like the GT series or does it cater for realism so I can drive aggressively like Ayrton Senna?

At the moment the penalties in the alpha I play on the pc has penalties for un sportsmen like driving, and cutting corners, the pits are still not fully done. it's still wip but they do intend to have full stop n go, pit stops with tire changes, fuel loads. so drive carefully and use less fuel and tires, or drive like a demon and end up in the pits more.. and crash into other cars, cut corners etc expect to be entering the pits sooner then later ..

Had access to the game for a while but can never really get to grips with it due to the constant changes. Rather wait for the final product and then give it a go when the handling is settled. Absolutely gorgeous game on the PC but I'm going to have to upgrade my GTX570 if I want to enjoy it in all it's glory. Where as with the PS4 it's going to look pretty fine anyway. What will be interesting is whether they'll have to dumb down the physics engine for the consoles ?

I've never been into racing games much, but I'm interested in trying this, and The Crew for 2 different racers.

However, I imagine the lack of a steering wheel could be an issue?
I don't play racers enough to buy one, but it also seems daft buying a racing SIM without a steering wheel.

Maybe i'll just use a controller and see how much I get into the genre. My preferred genres are changing a lot and I'm even getting sports games this year for the first time in 12 years. So I may end up right into racing games!!

If so, I can get a wheel later.
Just hope using a controller doesn't put me off before I have a chance to get really into it

Lack of wheel support is gonna affect this game on the new consoles :(. Id hate to play this with a controller, so Im likely to defer my purchase...

ps3ud0

It does say the list is not finalized and will be updated as and when, so hopefully they'll be able to get Logitech for the consoles.

Aston Martins just entered the game for Steam early access, just been having a go - wow the have improved this game a lot, AI is now tighter, light and lens through trees and buildings are quite literally blinding in places..

Aston's are sweet. Love my Aston Martins.. Its shaping up nicely. Real contender for Forza I think..

Good news it seems for ps4 owners, project cars seems to be stable at 60fps... They aren't there with the x1 it seems which means it'll not get there without some compromise I'd say but overall considering drive club is 30fps , this racing title on the ps4 is at the moment looking to be the 60 fps racing fix most are looking for...

What's the latest on this?

Have tried to speak with the PC lot but haven't received a response. Perhaps they don't like our sort..

Yeh seen that.

Whilst looking into this I came across iracing. What's that like? Looks fun

Huge Edit - thought you were talking about Iracing.

Okay. Are you a part of the wmd forum? If so how does everyone feel about the game so far? Any goss?

What are your thoughts on it?
Which will be the best platform to play this on?
Can you tell us anything about career mode?
What are the maximum number players in a MP session?
What are you enjoying the most?
