Anyway, so from what I have now read, their is no evidence of who did this to them and the investigation has yet to be completed so why has Israel blamed Hamas and they of course denied it...in this country the people responsible (and I understand they have some suspects in custody) would be arrested, charged and sent to trial and if found guilty, punished accordingly...so why they is their a full scale invasion going on in Gaza, least of all when this happened in the West Bank. There seems to be a lot of collective punishment going on with very little justification for it...and that doesn't excuse rocket fire from Gaza either before anyone asks.

You do realise that it is actually about Arabs and Palestinians rather than their religion? Not all Arabs are Muslim and not all Palestinians are Muslim either....

And you are wrong, as the Semitic peoples of the Levant come from a whole range of religious and cultural backdrops and the Jews are but one of them, what we now call Islamic Culture actually predates Islam the religion, it began with the Babylonians, The Phoenicians, The Canaanites and so on.... Just because Islam evolved later from the Abrahamic backdrop inherent in the region doesn't really mean a whole lot. The actual Kingdom of Israel was pretty short lived and perhaps if you are going to give credence to the Biblical Record in your defence of why Israel should take Palestinian lands, then perhaps Exodus is a good start.

Well if you must know because after finishing work and getting home I cycled for 3 hours in ~40 degree heat and I'm a little tired (it's still 26 degrees even now), and tomorrow I'm off on a little 220km jolly.

Islam has nothing to do with it, Jews have nothing to do with it. It's not religious. Men were born on the land, they literally physically owned the land. It's not through religion that they "deserve" the land. LIke you or me(or your landlord), they physically owned that land even when under English rule. They owned 89% of the land. It was taken from them illegally as if 50% of the people who owned homes/land/farms/businesses in the UK randomly had it assigned to 20% of immigrants who moved here for no reason at all.

Stop bringing religion in to it. People lived there, owned and worked the land, ran farms, built cities. These people were Palestinian. If an English commander or lord or whatever was randomly in charge, it didn't change or effect any of that.

Religion has nothing to do with it.

I'm not sure why people think Zionism is the same as Judaism.

Dr. Norman Finkelstein puts it well here & finds the whole constant bringing up of how the Jewish people have been historically persecuted is offensive to there memory to attempt to justify how poorly people are being treated now.


I do think the worst thing about his is we do have a population of racists who genuinely do just hate Jewish people (nothing about politics) who use this subject as a sounding board to spout hatred & abuse.

Hundreds marched in Birmingham
Hundreds marched in Manchester
Hundreds marched in London
Hundreds marched in Glasgow too

Just these last two weeks alone have seen over 10,000 people marching in the UK.
That's JUST the UK.
