What has overclockers done for you?

Two threads that stick in my mind:

Vidar and the fattie. The comments and banter round that were comedy gold.

Hitman Leon at Christmas. The generosity of a bunch of strangers on a forum brings a tear to my eye even now.
 
Offers a place to buy and sell new/used tech related stuff without having to worry about whether its going to turn up, whether the buyer is going to do raise an eBay/Paypal claim, or whether or not you're going to get scammed. The MM is a cracking place!
 
You know, I've learned something today. I've learned that people who want power, a lot of power, always end up dead.
 
Another double edged shaving here. Plus OCUK got me into Macs.
The forums are what actually keep me a loyal customer here, the online community is great.
 
I've learned that there are some very stupid people on the internet, as well as some very clever ones. I've also learned that prejudice and bigotry are far more common on the internet than they are in my real life. I'm not sure if that scares me or just makes me a sad panda.

I also learned that the answer to pretty much everything is to Kill It With Fire, and if that doesn't work you Nuke It From Orbit.
 
Some of them still post here and some do not, but I've met quite a few people who have turned out to be some of my best real life friends here. I even went to a particularly fab wedding earlier this year and it wouldn't have happened if I'd never come to these forums.
 
I've been here a long time and the best thing OcUK has given me is some real, life long friends, many of whom were at my wedding 5 years ago. I've had some ups and downs with this place, but I wouldn't change a thing.

Reminded me that even on the internet I'm gagged by some person sitting on their imaginary throne ..?

On a serious note, it gave me advice on how to overclock my first CPU, and subsequent motherboards, ram and Graphics cards ;)
