Just wondering what would be the best thing to do. They are around 8 years old, so I'm not sure if it would be worth sending them to Sennheiser for repair for £54 as it might not be long before one of the drivers fails...
Other option is to buy the replacement headband and try to repair them myself, but I'm not sure whether my soldering would be good enough not to get noise etc problems. Do you need special solder for audio equipment?
Or I guess after 8 years it might be time to buy some new ones.. I do love these, but they are a little lacking in bass if i'm honest. If I was to buy something else they would have to be as comfortable for wearing for hours at a time, for gaming, listening to music and watching tv shows/movies. I basically use them for everything. Any reccomendations? I'd not like to spend over £100 really. Think these sennheisers were £60 when I bought them and prices seem to have doubled since then
.
TIA
EDIT: is this in the wrong forum?
