I'm in the market for some new 120mm fans (four), preferably without leds.

I'm looking for some that shift a good amount of air, as the previous ones I had were pretty terrible at that and my system ran quite warm.

Price isn't really an issue but I don't want to be paying extortionate prices if possible.

Many thanks :)

Edit: Looking for 3-pin connection fans (I know most fans operate with these now, but a select few still use the molex connection)

What case do you have?

High CFM fans are great if they are not obstructed by filters. If you use filters, you'll ideally need high static pressure fans.

A cheap casecom one (from a few years back) but luckily it has a good few fan slots.

The only one that has a filter iirc is the front one, the rest just have the standard drilled holes.

The alternative if you're not fussed on ££ is to look at the Corsair AF 120 or SP 120 series. The non PWM versions come with 7v adapters on a 3 pin > 3 pin cable.

I've got some AF120s which I use time to time and I cannot hear them running under 5v/7v.

The Corsair ones seems pretty good.

The airflow on this one seems good.

Sorry to jump in, but would you say snips that a good recommendation for something like an H100i would be the included fans as they have are SP120s and have a decent static pressure?

Yes if you're looking for some replacement fans, but there's nothing really wrong with the stock fans if you set them up right.

 didnt read your msg properly. Yes, the stock fans are fine, just make sure you set an adequate custom fan curve and you'll be set :)

Corsair fans are great for performance.
Noctua are very nearly as good, but also far quieter so are the better choice if noise is an issue.
For budget performance, I'd look to Enermax or possibly Silverstone.

I went for the Corsair SP120 Performance in the end, going to test them out and see how I get on. Thanks all for the replies and suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Heh, cool.

Are the AF120s the ones to go for for good airflow then? I understand you want static pressure for something like pushing air through a radiator, but good airflow for say, a fan designed to supply a graphics card with cool air?

If it's got any kind of obstruction (radiator, grille, mesh, etc) particularly clse to either the intake or exhaust side of the fan, static pressure is usually better.
If the route is fairly open, airflow ones tend to be the preferred option.

That said, it's not always the exact science it ought to be, either. Picking up a few cheap/second-hand fans and experimenting can help just as well!
