Hello.

Just wondering if anyone here does those paid surveys? I have signed up on a few sites but I never seem to qualify for the surveys :/

I understand if it has beauty products and I click "none of the above" but some are IT related and I still don't qualify :/

Basically they capture as much info as they want and then tell you that you don't qualify, therefore spending your time and giving information for free.

You'd have to spend so many hours just to make pennies.

I gave it a go for a bit. I did dozens of surveys, qualified for a handful, watched adverts, viewed websites, viewed emails and have a amassed a small amount of money. The thing is I can't get that money unless I give up a few dozen more hours.

I find that Myvoice will qualify me for more surveys than any other site. Then if I don't qualify, I'll be informed within half a minute so that I'm not wasting my time. I redeem about £40 per year in blocks of £20's. Use them as Sainsbury's vouchers.

Ciao! on the other hand, tends to disqualify you when you're like half way through a survey. The final straw was when I was bloody 20 minutes into a survey (video-related one, so various video clips), only then to be told that I did not qualify. ******** to that!

Start a blog and run ads you'll make more than filling out surveys and you won't have to deal with the inevitable telemarketer that seems to have all the same info you gave the survey site. In my opinion a lot more fun that filling out surveys.

YouTube is pants for making money until you get to the 100k+ per week. Some earn millions apparently.

I've got a forum that used to earn between 300-500 per month from adsense but I had to take it off as I was getting some people trying to get me banned :(.

You need a niche. What are your hobbies? What's your job? (Gaming is too saturated to do anything with).

The most saturated niches at the moment are;
Tech,
Gaming,
Coding,
Bollywood news (lol),
Health & fitness,
Making money online.

If you can write on anything other than those subjects you stand a fair chance :)

Gaming, photography and weight lifting. I have a website too actually (allmarkphotography.co.uk)

Could go for photography? Describe your work, how you got the shot, why you took the shot and so on. If that would be of interest to you that is.

If not you could always try one of those stock image selling sites; upload your photos and get paid per download(idk how much they pay sorry).

Maybe set up a photography forum, there's a fair few but if you can find a way to make yours better then people will come. My forum started from another site who's admin got a bit overkill and started peeving people off. My only difference was moderating was a lot less heavy handed.

Start your own old pc parts ebay?

Repair mobiles for less technical people?

Have you tried being a camgirl? ;)

Lmao! :D I think that's a winner :)

I did think about an eBay shop

My wife does the "You Guv" (I think) surverys. So far she's had near enough £100 in "Luncheon Vouchers" as payment. Not as bad as they seem as they can be used in Tesco etc.
But you're never going to make a living on them.

YouGov? ... I do those too, how often you get a payout depends on how many surveys you get (which varies from person to person dependent on your demographic). Takes me about ~8 months to get £50 (cash transfer into my account, no vouchers) which isn't too bad for ~10-20mins a week.

Paid surveys can be ok, but you will be disqualified from a lot of them so it actually takes up a fair amount of time.

I used to run a paid survey business myself, but in the end it was just a war of attrition with the likes of Crowdologly, Honest Rewards etc... They were accepting lower and lower fees per complete and in the end it just wasn't worth it.

I did Swagbucks for a couple of months last year. I made £15 but it's mind numbingly tedious and the ratio of time put in to money paid out is insane. I won't be doing it again.

Only worth it if you really need every single penny you can get and you have absolutely nothing better to do with your time.

Thanks for the replies guy

Yeah I did 1 survery and it was for a movie. I had to watch the same clip like 3 times lol.

Just want to make some extra cash lol. Like I say 4 day week on minimum wage sucks big time for someone with a level 3 in IT.

Should teach myself some programming

If you're working 4 days a week you've got some spare time. Jump on the mobile app bandwagon :)

You just need to keep looking for a better job :)

Why not set up on your own to do computer repairs? If you've got a day free at the moment you even have time to start without quitting your current job. Get some business cards or flyers printed out and drop them through as many letterboxes as you can locally. If you do a good job for a fair price people will start recommending you and you could end up with a decent income from it.
