As epic a car as an M5 is, I'd be quite happy with this as an alternative. Though it sounds as though it still needs a bit of tweaking to make it "great".

By what measurement is it even remotely an alternative? It's a derv.

I don't particularly mind the addition of the bodykit or even the quad exhaust. It's the addition of the M5 badge which cracks me up.

I find it amazing how an E60 M5 can now be had for 15k, I can see that being bottom and them starting to go up in values over next year or so.

The E39 just aint so special though, there are a lot of 5 series models with V8's in. There are only two M cars with V10's in and one of them is butt ugly and not so practical.

The M5 is considered the last of the best super-saloons, the new ones might be faster with more exploitable power, but the V10 is one very special engine, just like the S54 and S65 were also amazing engines.

The new M4 is a stunning car, amazingly quick, but then I get to the engine and its just a bit meh, its no crazy high revving NA V8, V10 or S6.
