Anyone live in Bicester or Banbury?

That's really useful Booner, cheers.

If traffic around Bicester is fairly bad now then with all the new development it's going to get far worse by the sounds of it. This may have ruled out Bicester for me - Being in such an isolated place like Bicester and not having easy access in/out of it is a real concern.

I lived in Banbury for 6 years or so before moving overseas. Dunno about the factory smelling of biscuits, it always used to smell of coffee!
I quite like Banbury but has been mentioned already, the traffic problem is getting worse there. Especially in the mornings trying to get out to the M40. I would imagine that Bicester wouldnt be much different though.
There is(was) a better choice of shops in Banbury but i suppose that could have changed. Pubs in Banbury arent bad. The Thai Orchid is a good place to eat, they used to have an all you can eat buffet.

I live in Banbury and can think of a lot worse places to live. Bicester, for example.

My experiences of Bicester are usually of getting lost in the maze of tightly packed new builds and being stuck in traffic a lot.

Can't speak for Bicester but work colleague lives near there so only heard what he said. Bicester Village isn't anything special unless you just love clothes shopping and no where to park. The town is also expanding as well with huge house building so infrastructure will most likely become worse as a result.

As for myself, I have lived around Banbury all my life. It's not a terrible place and has cleaned up a lot over the years. Features include lots of immigrants, London overspill, boy racers, coffee factory, easy access to M40 (except during rush hour) and jobs.
