Voice your opposition to the Israeli actions for the past 65+ years

I would respectfully point out that WP munitions are only banned if they are used with flammability as their primary purpose. If it is a secondary or ancillary purpose then they are not banned hence their usage following the bans without breaching the rules. It is good to see they are not using them though now as there are plenty of alternatives to suit the same purpose and you have to wonder what the screen is actually for in this case as I find a hard time seeing how they would actually need one.

gets people in doors and off the streets, hopefully reducing unnecessary civilian casualties from any fighting or explosive ordinance would be my guess.

Israeli lawmaker calls for genocide in Gaza to make room for more Israeli homes. Words fail me.

Muppet politician shock.

"Hitler was an unparalleled military genius. Nazism promoted Germany from a low to a fantastic physical and ideological status. The ragged, trashy youth body turned into a neat and orderly part of society and Germany received an exemplary regime, a proper justice system and public order. Hitler savored good music. He would paint. This was no bunch of thugs. They merely used thugs and homosexuals."

Israel doesn't want a two state solution. They never have and they never will.

Most other countries, if they treated their people like Israel treats the Palestinians, would face sanctions at the very least but as usual, we hear nothing more than concern and restraint comments from the west, notably the US - whose hardware is killing Palestinians in their hundreds.

Israeli treatment of the Palestinians and US hypocrisy towards it disgust me. My sympathies are with the Palestinians. Israel says it wants peace but given their inhumane treatment and utter contempt for Palestinians, you have to question their sincerity.

why where does it mention nails?

Want me to post the pics?

Doctors saw bodies with nail shrapnel, and removed them from the wounds of those who came into hospital. While, several people and journalists collected nails from bomb sites and posted their photos on Facebook.

+1 mate. I reckon a two state solution will never be achieved anyway as neither will concede on land stolen.

ITV just showing now how a hospital was bombed today. 30 medical staff wounded - 4 killed. Its appaulling:

He has a good point:

The Head of International Relations for Hamas, Osama Hamdan, has issued this statement via NBC News:

Gaza is filled with international journalists; every single news network has a presence there.

Yet, not a single one of these journalists has reported seeing any weapons or rockets or any Qassam fighters in or around any of the dozens of hospitals schools or mosques destroyed or bombed by Israel.

The worlds best and most renowned journalists visited the hospital for the handicapped that Israel bombed they didn't see rocket launchers or Qassam fighters.

What they saw was the most vulnerable defenseless and innocent humans murdered by a terrorist state.

– OSAMA HAMDAN

As for the targeting of civilians, the numbers speak for themselves. Till now, Israel has murdered more than 550 people in Gaza; according to the UN 80 percent of those are civilians, hundreds of them women and children.

So it is Netanyahu and his army of war criminals that have targeted and continue to target innocent and defenseless civilians.

As for Hamas every single Israeli killed by its fighters or its rockets except one have been soldiers in uniform on duty fully armed and on the battlefield.

The facts are there for all to see. Hamas is a legitimate resistance movement.

Israel is the aggressor.

And now we are back to frothing loon...

Why? Because I tell the truth?

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2011/may/29/david-cameron-resigns-patron-jnf

The JNF was originally set up to buy land in Palestine to establish Jewish settlements before the creation of the state of Israel. Now it is a global charity which describes itself as the "caretakers of the land and people of Israel", specialising in planting forests. Critics say it expropriated land belonging to Palestinians and has obliterated pre-1948 Arab villages by planting forests and parks. The JNF is involved in the demolition of Bedouin villages in the Negev desert as part of an afforestation plan.

An early day motion tabled in the Commons in March regretted Cameron was a JNF patron and said revoking its charitable status should be considered.

yep - the hypocrisy is palpable.

Good, because I think you have overstepped your assumptions, you know it and are now attempting to extricate yourself instead of looking rather foolish as your post only reenforces the position that it is difficult to argue against that specific sentiment expressed by Craterloads while remaining impartial. ;)

Think what you like, I know I was talking about the wider context, sorry that doesn't fit the narrow context you would prefer to argue. Think what you wish about my impartiality or otherwise, at this point it really doesn't matter.

Until Hamas change their stated aims then neither side seems all that interested in a two state solution.

Had they stopped?

There was a relatively long ceasefire before the recent resumption of hostilities after the arrests of 400 Palestinians in retaliation of the murder of the hitch hikers in the West Bank...which was attributed by Israel to Hamas. Interestingly one of the terms of that ceasefire was the reopening of the Rafah Crossing, something Israel failed to actually do and the release of the Palestinians in return for information and assistance in releasing Shalit Gilead was again reneged upon. Added to the mistrust now between Hamas and Egypt, it is no wonder that Hamas are reluctant to trust anyone.

If any ceasefire is to be brokered then we need to be turning to people with a good relationship with Hamas, such as Turkey...because Egypt have denounced and outlawed The Muslim Brotherhood, so Hamas which is ideologically aligned with the Brotherhood is never going to accept any assumption of authority by Egypt....and I find it hard to believe that Israel doesn't realise this.

I know there was a "ceasefire" but that generally means fewer rockets from Gaza and less bombs from Israel rather than none.
