So after 3 very happy years of owning my BMW E92 335i Msport, it went off to a new owner down in Wales (after being up for sale for less than 24hrs, result!) and after lots of going around in circles about what to get next, I've decided to also sell up my old X3 and get an X6 to replace both cars.
I don't drive off road, so the lack of actual off road ability of the X6 is not an issue. It's on road abilities for large SUV / 4x4 are excellent and it has the bad weather and height / ground clearance I require to visit my mum up in the highlands so it'll do nicely
It's the xdrive40d model with the toys I wanted, spent a good while hunting to get the one I wanted.
First thoughts, overall very well built, haters going to hate and all that, but the X6 drives very well for such a large car, and it's no slouch with 306bhp and a 0-60 of 6.5s, but it's rolling acceleration, 30-70 etc is very impressive. MPG has also made me pretty happy, averaging high 40's on the way back from down south picking the car up (book average is 37.7 so town driving is going to be really poor mpg, but so is my X3, and so was the 335 in that respect)
Parking isn't too easy, it's so massive / wide, it'll take some practice to park perfectly with enough room for people to get in and out lol.
Some minor modifications will follow, black grills, my private plate, and a remap.
The old 335....

The X6....

if we all drove the exact same car it'd be boring out there! I like it and as long as you respect that it's my choice then fair play
