Why is Subway so greedy with ice?

This is the opposite issue most people have with fast food chains haha. Usually people have to specifically ask for no ice because they fill the thing with it so you get less drink.

subway here uses self service drinks dispenser with an ice dispenser, so you can have as much as you want in that cup. No refills though

I would be more conceded by what they are doing with the Fanta (and by extension drinks machine) for it to turn cold, freshly mixed syrup and carbonated water to being 'hot as hell'.

Some places fill your glass with so much ice that you're only really getting a third of the glass in fluid.

Get your own back by getting extra cheese/meat and don't declare it.
