Voice your opposition to the Israeli actions for the past 65+ years

Most holy place on the planet & yet they cannot get on. What hope for the rest of the planet.

I wash my hands over the situation - Keep out & stay away - It's none of our business.

Look at the mess we have made of the places we have poked out noses in to.

It's a sorry affair, I agree but I've lost interest, So what will be will be.

Let it alone & stay out.

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.

Hamas (and other militant groups) fire most of their rockets from outside Gaza City and the other populated areas, they use tunnels and a system of underground caches for most of their weapons as well. That isn't to say that weapons are not kept in other areas as well, or that some rockets fire doesn't come from populated areas, but it is a misconception to believe that is the norm..it is not. This is the reason why Israel are having problems with tackling the militants on the ground, their system of caches and interconnecting tunnels are causing all kinds of issues with the operation...Israeli Military only stated yesterday that it appears that Hamas has built what amounts to an underground city under Gaza.

I'd like to see what source you have stating most rockets are launched from outside populated areas

Either way the fact remains they fire rockets from towns regardless of whether or not it is the norm.

Israel also hit rocket sites outside of towns, you hear next to nothing about it in the media as there's little if any collateral damage.

Just read the news Jaws104...or listen to the Israeli Military updates. They are very specific about the tunnels and underground weapons caches, the whole raison d'être of their land offensive is to root these out.

Are you really that shocked, Israel know they can do whatever they want and there is nothing anyone will do to stop them.

Quit trying to make political capital out of the deaths of kids. If they thought they could do what they wanted then they would just level Gaza with their more than adequate millitary.

Bothe Israel and Hamas are not keen on the fighting stopping as they're both going at it for different reasons, but it does need to stop and soon. Which means Israel needs to stop its bombardment and pull back and Hamas needs to stop its rockets and using human shields.

On your point, if Hamas didn't hide their rockets in civilian area's, then perhaps less civilians would be killed?

I suppose we should have bombed Belfast and other towns both in Northern Ireland and the Republic then, if that is the justification. Perhaps that's where we went wrong all those years.

I'm not disputing the tunnels or underground weapon caches, or that rocket fire also comes from unpopulated areas. I'm asking for a source stating the majority of rocket fire comes from unpopulated areas. I'm genuinely interested to know.

Ah yes I remember the PIRA and their rocket attacks on mainland britain. Who can forget.

And I gave it, Israeli Military reports and an aggregate of news sources, Israel release regular updates on rocket attacks and missions conducted with Gaza, the majority of these are targeting rocket launch sites outside of Gaza City and densely populated areas (of which Gaza is mainly made up of), again illustrated by the fact that the majority of strikes into Gaza have very little civilian casualties, it is when we have these offences that changes...also the fact that the majority of the rocket and mortar attacks clear the Gaza Strip at all as they are mainly very short range illustrates the point effectively enough..you also have the eyewitness accounts of over 60 journalists who all say they have yet to see rockets being fired from any of the targeted civilian buildings...and again Israeli Military reports are largely reporting the strikes of known militant fighters and infrastructure when reporting strikes within the civilian cities, not rocket sites, which are highly mobile and generally fired as close to the border as they can for maximum effectiveness.

Strawman...as we are talking about dealing with the weapons in general, not the specific method of attack. Be it car-bomb or homemade rocket. Or are you saying if Hamas just hid all there weapons other than rockets in civilian areas that's ok?

errrr bull****. The rockets dont need to be fired from the border as they come well within the range of their targets when fired from Gaza city. A UN agency working in gaza says they found 20 rockets in one of their schools etc.

Oh you're trolling, thought you were being serious. I thought it was just plain idiotic to try and draw a parallel with how to deal with a missile system the size of a bus launched over hundreds of missiles and a pound of Semptex hidden under someones bed.
