Celebs you have met/had a tweet from?

Does having a drink with Sips of The Yogscast at Multiplay Insomnia count? :p

If not then I have had no encounters of the sort.

Chris (Sips) is a really nice guy though, who likes the same Cider as me apparently.

The Queen waved at me when I was little, if that counts. Frankly Sips was way cooler than The Queen. :D

I asked Wes Borland a question once on twitter about his guitar. He called me stupid. I was genuinely crushed :(

What did you ask though?

Sat back to back with Katie Price in a pub once (was in town for book signing) and had absolutely no idea who she was at the time - looked nothing like I'd seen on TV, did wonder a bit why people around her were making a bit of a fuss but just thought she was friends with the staff or something lol. Only worked it out next day when noticing it on the local news.

Gary Lineker used to drop into where I worked from time to time, never really talked to him other than to say hello but seemed like a proper nice guy and him and my dad seemed to get on well.

Went to the same school as Ian Botham - a lot before my time - but he used to come by sometimes for assemblies, etc.

and got tweet from John Romero if you have any idea who he is.

Had some emails from JC's wife regarding some stuff for the company she used to run (which later became id mobile) but sadly never got to talk to the man himself. Though wouldn't be hard to add him to twitter I guess and poke a question or two his way.

Tweets back and forth with Mike Portnoy, as to if he'd ever perform the Twelve Step Suite in full.... Other than that, Ellen MacLain follows me on Twitter and I've no idea why.

Met a bloke at his granny's funeral (was engaged to his niece at the time).... looked vaguely familiar and decked out all in black with a white streak in his hair. Asked wor lass who he was, "oh, that's our David". Turns out it was Dave Vanian from The Damned.

I've met quite a few through work and play but my favourite was meeting Jim Bowen from Bullseye in a pub when I was mid 20s (so he was near 3x my age) and getting absolutely smashed with him and a few of my mates.

Not too sure if either of these count....

Meet Linda Lusardi back in the early 90's.

Also, had dinner once with Nell McAndrew in Loch Fyne, Winchester.

Nobody super-famous really. Had a couple of tweets back on separate occasions from Brooke Nevin (Canadian actress), one or two from Molly Quinn (from Castle), retweeted by Katherine Ryan once.

Don't recall ever having met anyone famous in person though.

My Wife used to work with Kate Winslet back in the 90's, Apparently she didn't turn up to work one day, So my Wife phoned to ask why she wasn't there, and her Mum said "She's gone to an Audition for some movie called Titanic"... Strangely she never came back to work after that!

Have met a few over the years, Lawrence Dallaglio, James Purefoy, Idris Elba, Mackenzie Crook, Sir Alec Guinness, Rory Bremner, Hugh Bonneville, Bob Mortimer, George Best, Hugh Dennis, Kate Winslet, Jeremy Paxman, Fred Dinenage off the top of my head.

I worked for a software company on their helpdesk.

A customer rang in, helped her out, very nice lady.

We got chatting and we spoke about what she used to do.

A few days later, I received a signed photograph from Grotbags :)

Was in the same year (only 2 classes and I was in the opposite one to her) as Peter Beardsley's daughter, so saw him quite often in the mornings and after school etc. Seemed like a really nice guy and he took part in a lot of the school activities like sports day etc.

When I was a small boy Bobby Davro gave me some sweets. It didn't go any further.

Gave Prince William a nod when I passed him hillwalking.

Shook hands with time vine, when he asked me for some directions. Saw Jonny Vegas near namco.

And saw Chantelle and Preston who were on big brother in folkestone. (Don't really consider them Celebs)

And i walked past Snoop dogg when i was in Vegas.

My Brother had a tweet from Sue Perkins after he sent her a comic of her in Viz.

Chris Evans (the ginger one... when he was still ginger)
