So i moved from my amd 1055t to a 4670k on a sabertooth mark 2. I love the extra speed this has brought me (now i know its nowhere near enough but its so much slicker then the old amd)
Im really impressed in gaming but boy has it shown how powerful my gpu is.
Watchdogs using the worse mod 1 is looking rather beautiful and im getting 30-25fps when driving and upto 60fps everywhere else. This is a huge improvement on the amd. The cpu is running at 95% but the gpu a timid 50%ish. I knew it was above the cpu but i didnt know it would be that big of a bottleneck.... next year ill move to a i7 i guess. just glad to have moved onto the intel side with not too much outlay after selling the parts. Just checked my overclock isnt on..
Running overclocked at 4.4 the game is running so much smoother then before. I think the Worse mod is actually better for my 7990 as i was getting weird experiences especially when driving. Its now running about 30fps driving and well into 60fps for the rest.Graphics are maxed out and the gpu is running at 66%
Random post but sometimes you have to say something.

A 7990 gpu shouldn't be bottlenecking an i5 4670K. It could be down to the game being poorly optimised. Does this happen on any other games ?

noooo the cpu is bottlenecking the gpu....gpu at 66% cpu at 95%

I know, I typed it the wrong way round :p Anyway it shouldn't bottleneck. I would say it's more likely the game that is the issue. Either it doesn't run well on cf or poor optimisation. I could be wrong though.

It's WatchDogs, hardly an optimised game atm :P Expect things like this to happen, try it in a GPU heavy game - then you will see if there is a bottleneck

It used to eat through battlefield 4 with the old cpu (installing it now though anyway)
As for overclocking it more - maybe in winter but this room is toasty i dont think i can add more heat in here at the moment, the cpu is running decent temps its more a problem for me.

To be honest with crossfire/sli I would have gone with a i7 in the first place, when you're blowing over 1k on a system its worth the extra £50 for the part you will probabely end up upgrading last
