MotoGP 2014 Season

Bradl team messed up really as he hard slicks but with steels brakes, if he had had carbon brakes he would have been lots further way after 1st lap and even more when Marquez had to pass other riders.
That little mistake may of cost him his ride, even though it wasn't his decision

He was not running steel brakes.

According to the program he was. Where is your info from, his lap times seem to slow otherwise especially home track and all that

Hmm seems the commentators got it wrong seems it was suspension setting wet instead of dry, oh well still a team mess up

the latest info is Scott Redding is getting Bautista's bike and bradi has lost his ride.
in spain there saying the 2 Suzuki bikes are gone also, to Moto2 rookie Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro.
that really knocks Lorenzo's bargaining with Yamaha if all the top rides are gone lol.
its going to be an interesting next few months.

also if anyone doesn't know yet
cal is staying at ducati next year and dovi has signed for another 2 years also

In reality, the best thing for Lorenzo is to stay at Yam for two years and see what happens with Suzuki anyways. They might be uncompetitive for a year or two anyways.

I lost all interest for Cal when he signed for the money, he is going to dwindle around 10th place for the remainder of this year and next then disappear.

Aye

Cal has had his day, will do nothing in MOTO GP now. Would love to see him back in BSB though. Better racing, better circuits just better all around.

Erm ok...he will end in WSB or BSB where those who can't cut it in Moto GP go to make a few quid before retiring...

I think Cal has realised he's never going to get on a 'proper' Works Yamaha or Honda. At his stage in his career he went for the money and while some may chastise him for it he was never going to win the WC unless he could get on a Repsol Honda or full fat Works Yamaha which wasn't going to happen. I was a little disappointed but understood the reality of his decision. He getting paid well and has his family to think about at this stage in his career.

Rubbish, MOTO GP is not about rider skill, there all bloody good riders. It 90% the package they sit on, and that is the downfall of the sport in the long term.

Moto GP and indeed any bike racing is primarily about confidence. The belief that if you tip it into the corner that both ends will stick. It's not like a car, where if you lose control you will run wide or potentially crash, on a bike you will nearly always fall off.

In that respect, the bike is critical, but it's not the case that one bike is 1 second faster and the rest of the difference is the rider, it's about tweaking the bike here and there and the coming to a point where the bike provides the feedback to give the rider the comfort to push.

BSB is a dead end championship these days, it where you go when you cant get a ride in the world championships, only a few young riders make it out or are willing to leave it.

cals problem is he has it in his head it needs to be a factory team, bradi is a HRC rider, LCR just run the bike, but cal say im not going to a satellite team even though the bike would be the same as the factory team.
teams cant change the engines performance anymore so the full factory team cant pull away from the base bike they and the satellite team started the year with.

It doesn't help that WSBK is basically dead as well at the moment as there're only a few good rides available and Dorna bailed out from turning it into full evo rules next year. Its a similar problem in MotoGP, the factory teams have invested so much to get to where they are the rules will never change to make things even.

Its a shame Honda pulled out of BSB this year, I still think it provides some of the most entertaining races but now it just seems like the rules favor the Kawasaki more than the other bikes on the grid.

I personally think Cal would suit the Honda rather than the Yamaha as it responds better to an aggressive rider rather than a smooth rider like Lorenzo. Trouble is Spain has such a good program for bringing up young riders on similar bikes to the MotoGP paddock that riders from other countries will struggle to get decent seats, all the British riders in WSBK came through BSB which tells you something :)

If the LCR Honda is on par with Marquez's and Pedrosa's bike then they will be looking for front rows and podiums. Cal is a good rider but the usual Ducati story has bitten several riders. Slow corner speed and slow development.

LCR confirm Cal in the team for 2015 with a UK sponsor of the team

its the same as the work HRC bikes at the start of 2015 but HRC get the updates first, but that not so much of a handicap these days with the freeze on the engines
so its only frame, suspension n software updates
