What have you killed so far this summer?

Nothing, and I don't intend to either. Very lucky to have seen a rosy underwing last night. Rare in this country.

KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!

:D I'm just kidding it's actually quite pretty up close.

Sadly, I don't usually have the stones to be around insects for long enough to see them close up :(

We get so many, many moths in our house with the windows open etc. That's what you get near a field I guess. So probably killed quite a few.

None quite so attractive though.

I left my patio doors open for a few hours the other day. I started to feel itchy, I looked up and my ceiling and walls were covered in literally hundreds of tiny thunder fly things, my living room looked like a miniature Klendathu. I hoovered those mofos into oblivion, took at least half hour as they kept migrating back to areas I'd already hoovered.

Some might see it as cruel, but if you leave these tiny menaces to their own devices they'll end up launching an asteroid at Buenos Aires.

Someone needs to invest in a few cans of RAID.

Couple of families last week, neighbors cat, my Nan, few work colleagues, my friends hamster, a few endangered birds.

More recently, the owners of this wooden shack, some police, few armed police, a police dog.

I'm next.

Nearly had to dispatch a problem crow after is started attacking our tortoise, luckily it got the message after a few warning shots from the air rifle!

Yeah, it's quite a beauty. :)

It's the biggest moth I've ever seen at home, though I have seen larger on one occasion when I was working at an industrial estate.

The wingspan of this fella can reach around 80mm! :)

Woah! Pretty, but I'm not sure if I'd cope with it being in the house. I am a massive wuss when it comes to flying insects.

I'd be all "Oh how pretty", when at a safe distance then as soon as it starts flying too close something akin to a combination of girlish shriek and a war cry.
Followed by tears :)

Probably about 200 bunnies by now!

Hopefully some foxes after combining.

Oh and rats, lots and lots of rats.

A few spiders and flying things, I normally just scoop them up with my hands and throw them from the window, but sometimes the GF let's a small shriek or gasp out when I touch then, which startles me into closing my hand and squishing them.

I try to leave spiders be in particular, as they clear up the annoying flying things a treat. Had to get rid of a big one the other day though as it's web was too visable, with a daddy long legs caught in it in the lounge. Confused the hell out of me, thought it was another spider at first as it's wings were eaten off.. Scooped it all in my hands and through it out then window, then promptly washed my hands thoroughly.
