Voice your opposition to the Israeli actions for the past 65+ years

The Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) said:
We walk down a street just outside of Beit Hanina, a suburb of Jerusalem. Last night Israeli extremists slashed the tires of 10 cars and sprayed graffiti of hateful messages, including a Palestinian school bus where they have written “Death to the Arabs” in Hebrew.

Muhammed noticed the destruction in the morning when he was supposed to take his kids to school. Someone had slashed his tires and sprayed “All Arabs are the enemy” on his car. Aisha, his wife, tells us that she thinks it is the Israeli extremist youth in an outpost about one block away that are responsible. They have been responsible for similar attacks in the last two years, after they took over a Palestinian house in the area. - blog.eappi.org
Israeli extremists are so very much more tolerant than oppressed Palestinians.

Yeah am i shocked that you would think the arab-israeli conflict can be reduced to pithy remarks? Not even slightly.

Pity remarks?

They have stolen land over the past 60 years and systematically displaced the Palestinians.

So your saying that land has not been stolen? and Palestinians have not been displaced? are you blind? or are you one of those Zionists that try to re right history?

Netanyahu needs to be hauled up before the courts, what he is doing is tantamount to ethnic cleansing. He is purposefully having civilian locations targeted in an attempt to use collective punishment and destruction of civilian infrastructure to demoralise the population which is in direct contravention of a number of protocols in the Geneva convention.

Suppose one wanted to help the people of Palestine by making a donation which organisation(s) would be most effective (ie. quick turn around and not line the pockets of some fat cat- has to be strictly legit)?

Thought I'd take a look at CNN and Fox News to get the US slant on things. Fox News is just awful - as expected. But this is what the yanks are reading.
Israelis close to the border are living in fear that at any moment a tunnel delivering well-trained and merciless terrorists could emerge within their community, or even within the very boundaries of their own house or garden. Should Hamas or Islamic Jihad succeed in emerging undiscovered from one of these tunnels, there could be carnage on a massive scale.

Try the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), they represent 13 or so legit charities.

Normally, I am pro Israel for the usual reasons (balance in the region etc) but this time I think bombing en masse by land, air and sea with the latest & sophisticated military weapons is not even close to right  &yes. Hamas are no saints and eye for an eye is ok, but this operation is completely out of proportion

What Palestine needs is an air defence system at the very least!

An Israeli rabbi has issued a ruling that allows the killing of innocent civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The rabbi’s ruling authorizes all means of targeting the people, such as “denying supplies or electricity.” He further says military forces are allowed “to bomb the whole area according to the discretion of the army...”

“In the case of Gaza,” the rabbi said, the Israeli military officials “will be allowed to instruct even the destruction of Gaza.”

He also said that, as the Israeli army is at war with the people in the blockaded enclave, “any kind of talk about humanism and consideration are moot.”

The rabbi has been chosen by thousands of Israelis, who follow him.

I guess rockets fired at Tel Aviv are justified?

Have a read: http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/.premium-1.604844

“Hamas uses the population as human shields.”
If I’m not mistaken, the Defense Ministry is in the heart of Tel Aviv, as is the army’s main “war room.” And what about the military training base at Glilot, near the big mall? And the Shin Bet headquarters in Jerusalem, on the edge of a residential neighborhood?

And how far is our “sewing factory” in Dimona from residential areas? Why is it all right for us and not for them? Just because they don’t have the phallic ability to bomb these places?

link does not work me :(

Thanks for letting me know, Well it's a view from her rooftop of the IDF gunning down innocent people only a street away who were only trying to get to the Aqsa to pray on the holiest day of the Ramadan.

She had to leave pretty sharpish as the gunfire was getting too close to her house.

The case against Israel is piling higher and higher up...I think we're going to see a move from the UN at least soon. I really hope so.

I wrote to my local MP voicing my concerns about Israel's actions, and I got a standard reply back, which portrayed Israel as the victim!!! Nuts. I've replied with my feelings on the matter.

She needs to send that to media outlet or the U.N, God willing your friend has a safe holiday/journey.
