Voice your opposition to the Israeli actions for the past 65+ years

I strruggle to understand how isreali can justify its action as defensive. At what point does it become a slaughter? Isreali are very good at playing the victim. This is only going to create a new generation of hate and violence. It seems that isreali have only one solution.

I saw the israeli prime minster on tv using the analogy that we wouldnt put up with rocket srikes in new york. I dont think they would start bombing whole city because rockets are coming out of the city. Just like when there is a bombing they dont find out who did it where he came from and bomb his home town.

I dont even think they try to deal with it any other way. They just pretend like they are nothing but nice to them and dont understand why they shooting rockets it is a dumb excuse.

The case against Israel is piling higher and higher up...I think we're going to see a move from the UN at least soon. I really hope so.

I wrote to my local MP voicing my concerns about Israel's actions, and I got a standard reply back, which portrayed Israel as the victim!!! Nuts. I've replied with my feelings on the matter.

I did the same, although I spoke to my local MP on the phone. He wasn't so defensive of Israel, but said that governmental foreign policy ties his hands somewhat....given his party are in government I found that to be evasive at best. In any case I've written to several other MPs and the PM instead through him...if I get a reply of any substance I'll let you know.

It is good to see that attitudes on this forum towards the Palestinians are finally changing and more people are coming round to recognising that the Israelis are the persecutors and not the victims as they attempt to portray themselves :)

Frankly, writing to your MP or attending his surgery as I do is pretty much a waste of time, as is complaining to the BBC about their incredibly biased pro-Israeli reporting;the Grauniad is better but the Independent is still better.

There is a demonstration in London this Saturday organised by the Stop the War Coalition (LINK). If enough people turn out, the BBC can't continue to ignore the public outrage at Israeli terrorism.

Everyone outraged by Israel's atrocities and crimes against humanity should be at the national demonstration in London on Saturday 26 July. We will assemble at the Israeli Embassy and march to Parliament at 12 Noon. We will be calling for Israel's bombing and killing to stop now and for David Cameron to stop supporting Israeli war crimes.

Be there. Spread the word to your family, to your friends, in your workplace, college and community. - Thank you.

This is such a valid point. We didn't bomb the crap out of Ireland when the IRA were killing people over here.
Or is that over simplified?

Please do let me know, I'd be curious to see what comes of it :) I expect you have their ear rather more than I do. Our local MP is also conservative. The letter I received did indeed feel incredibly evasive. Hopefully my reply will enable him to open up a bit more about HIS opinions, as opposed to what he's been told to say.

Dear Mr Castiel, thank you for your letter and I fully understand you concerns blah blah. However, there is only so much I can do blah blah. There are various reasons blah blah. All they seem able to do.

are your local mp's conservatives ? you should ask if they are members of conservative friends of israel.

these people don't serve there constituents.

I dont think I've ever even seen my local mps anywhere just lackeys posting leaflets

It's a terrible point. The rockets are being launched from those locations. Thus you bomb the weapons site. The Ira's weapons were situated over here or in bomb factories that we didn't know the location of. Israel does know where the rockets are being launched from.

Apparently from sand castles on the beach built by 6 year olds

So Israel is saying that it could have been a stray Hamas rocket that hit the UN shelter, despite the UN saying that they had given Israel the exact coordinates for the shelter, and also the fact that Israel was carrying out mortar attacks in the local area around that time.

Unbelievable
