Would the above be a worth upgrade at 1080p gaming? Also. does the r295 x2 have the trueAudio chip? Finally, any issuses with the spec in my sig and the card?

Ta :)

If staying with AMD, I would consider two 290's rather than a 295. I think it / they have true audio, and yes, your sig is fine.

I know the op and i know he was worried about the cooler for the 295x2 possibly getting in the way of his kraken x60 cooler as the cooler is mounted at the top of his case. I had a quick measure and thought it would be fine but it would be great if someone can confirm this.

Your system is ready for a 295x2 and it definitely has true audio support. If you've got the cash, go for it. :)

I upgraded from a 7990 and 7950 crossfire to a 290P crossfire setup. It was a nice leap in more ways than one. The 295x2 is slightly faster than 290X/780TI Xfire/SLI so it will be an even bigger (but expensive) step up for you. It's not the most cost effective upgrade, but you didn't ask that. :)

Matt is at 1440p though :)

I went from 7970CF to 290CF and they're very nice, but I can't help but feel it's a bit wasted at 1080p.

If I were you, I'd look at spending that kind of cash on a couple of cards and a monitor upgrade :)

That's a fair point, I'm at 1440P.

Would it make my case temp cooler than r290x crossfire? On a side note, is the free PSU oc are offering on the r295 x2 deal any good?

Yes it would, a great deal cooler.

Wasted if still using 60hz, not wasted if running 120hz or 144hz. You still need two powerful GPUs to keep frame rate this high even at 1080p.

:)

Metalmackey/OP has a 65 inch samsung tv as his monitor. I dont know the exact model but i know he paid £2500 for it so its a good one. A monitor is out of the question for him as he is terribly short sighted and his eyesight is getting worse all the time so a big tv is his only way of seeing what is on the screen.

Not necessarily. In BF4 for example I average about 110 FPS with MSAA on 2x (everything else maxed). I'm not sure that upping that to 4x is worth an extra 290/X.

I use a 55" Samsung tv as my monitor so will be 60hz. This will be my last upgrade as I will be blind soon. A certain Jericho will want a bundle in all for his 7970s he might be getting, so cant afford a 4k tv too LOL:).
