Expat in the USA
So, I was supposed to be landing in the UK today... Flying out of the USA to the UK, for a nice well deserved family holiday.

Except I'm still at home.. Rec'd a text yesterday a few hrs before we were all set to leave, saying flight cancelled, estimated new departure will be on Sunday.

WTF !!! Tried calling their customer service and well that was a two hr ordeal.

So before anyone says call the carrier. It's not that simple.

Carrier is stating technical difficulties as the reason. I think the outbound from the UK to the USA never left in the first place, so that's probably why we've been cancelled... oops sorry delayed as the carrier put it !!!! They're not saying jack, saying only that they have no more information at this time.

Surely there's got to be a better way at finding out. I'd like to know the flight number of the aircraft that's coming over to the US. At least if i had that i could somewhat get a feel if we stand a chance of leaving tomorrow. Is there any way I can find out what exactly are the technical difficulties? The carrier again is saying NOTHING ! Actually all we're doing is waiting for another text. Cos there's not much else we can do.

To find out the flight number just check on your airlines website for flights from uk to which City you live in. Then process of elimination you will find the flight code.

Which airline and which city you flying out of?
Surely they have the duty to set you up on another flight or put you up in a hotel or something?
