Can God make mistakes? How many 'likes' will it take for him to back down?

With war all around the globe, terrorism rife in the middle east, soldiers being hacked up on London streets, planes dropping from the sky on a daily basis; I ask the question, has God got it wrong?

Why has he allowed multiple religions? Why has he put all the oil in the middle east? Why does he allow extremists? Why does he keep Putin on this earth?

If he had got these right and had no religion and distributed the oil evenly across the globe as a proportion of per capita use, would we be in this mess now?

When will he stop being stubborn and fix these wrongs?

Which God do you refer do? If you're asking specifically about the Christian god, then the answer is simple: Free will. God gave us freedom to choose.

There is only one God. All religions point to the same God, ergo he exists.

All religions do not point to the same god. Where on earth did you get that idea? But if you are asking about a more general concept of god, then really who can say? Maybe god just doesn't care; the idea of a compassionate and loving god is not common to all religions.

Of course they do. They all have pretty much the same story that God created the universe. If you honestly believe that God created the universe, then it can't have been all 7 gods, or however many supposedly exist now. They're all one and the same.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

So your view is that Hinduism, Buddhism and the Abrahamic religions all have the same god(s)?

If the soul is eternal most of that becomes irrelevant and its upto us to fix that not God if he even exists. It would be the greatest troll if god did exist and we were reconnected to a new body in this existence after the death of one body - those selfishly trying to make a better world for themselves at other people's expense would just be making it a crappier place to live for everyone including themselves.
