That'd be appreciated, thanks. Trying to decide whether one of these will do what I want or if I should go for a better model.

Yeah no problem,

I will be setting it up to run my av receiver, projector & wdtv live so can't help you out with your sky query :(

But I will let you know how it all goes and what I think of it

I feel like I need to get one of these at some point. Presumably it's possible to have it set so you can use it to change channels etc on a Sky box but the volume control will always control my Onkyo receiver, without having to switch modes all the time?

Just setting the remote up now and I can now answer this question for you!

You get to prioritize which device you want to control the sound, so your amp can control the sound for all devices so if you have your sky selected it wont adjust the volume based on the sky box.

Ahh splendid, sounds like this might be the answer then. Now to just decide whether this will do all I want, or if I should find the extra money for the Smart Control one so that it'll do my PS3 too.

Edit: Ah screw it, the 350 is only £25 on Amazon now, that seems like a nice price. Or £25 for the one with the screen. Hmm...

Just orded the 650 (Comes tomorrow) at £46 it seemed to be the one to replace my broken 555. Looks ugly though, but then the touch etc is £100+.. For a remote, no thanks.

From what I can see the 650 supports 5 devices (I only use 4)

Can't seem to find anyone else offering similar type remotes for the same price range, which is a shame as logitech seem to have become stale tbh.

I got my 650 Refresh yesterday and although initially I thought it was pretty ugly it grew on me very quickly and now looks alright as the sole controller. It is much better than I expected for the money and allows me to add 8 devices (maybe as the refresh model?).

I've added my tv, amp, virgin media box, xbox one and AC Ryan media streamer and it look me about 15 minutes to set it up from opening the box to working fine.

I'm going to have a better play with it over the next week but so far I couldn't ask for more! Glad I didn't pay £100's when this one is working so well.

Just got to hope when I get my nuc it works as well as for everything else!

Well got the 650 set up how I like, took about 30mins with adding fav channels and icons (found online) yeah seems to now support upto 8 devices. Worth the ££? yeah easily :)

Just make sure you've always got spare batteries for it. I find mine need changed every few months and probably down to the screen, pain in the bum going back to juggling remotes for a night if you don't have any handy :p

Got my 650 today, works fine with my NUC.
One annoying thing though, which I knew about anyway, is the NUC and Sky box use the same signal for on/off.

Where did you get a 650 for £46?

All the logitech remotes are ugly, save the harmony touch / ultimate. i think it's just a logitech thing. About the most unoffensive models i think are the 720/785 or 880

I gave in and purchased a 650 from Currys. It was £59.99 but I had a £26.01 voucher leftove from when I bought my TV and I had forgotten about it so it was technically money off haha.

I think the 650 is quite a nice design, sleek and thin with a decent weight. Love the programmeability. One touch and I can have my Sony TV switched on to HDMI4 for my SKY TV and the Samsung soundbar on.

I haven't done anything else but can imagine there's a lot more I can do with the macros etc. Sure beats having 4 remotes on the coffee table.

Is that the same as 'earning a free tenner' when you find it in a pair of trousers that you forgot was there? :p

Its the doing of multiple things at once that meant I went for the 650 over the 350. At the moment using my media PC means turning on the TV with the Sky remote, finding the TV remote we never use to change inputs, and then using a dying MCE remote to control xbmc. Having one button do the lot is going to be amazing. Although I get the feeling I'm going to have to train the GF to point the remote at the TV and wait for a bit :p

Quite happy with my 350 so far, some of the buttons are a bit small though and it seems like it's not always turning my TV on or off when I press the 'Watch TV' button. The set-up was very easy though, the software was well-designed and recognised my device model numbers instantly.
