I've decided to go back to my original wheel size (15'', currently running 17''). Reasons being, normal, ride comfort, fuel efficient, acceleration

Been looking and have used Black Circles in the past. Got a good local In&Out to me that I know well for for the fitting.

Found some Kumho Ecowing ES01 KH27 - 195/60 R15 H (88) £239.96 fitted on the site for 4.

I've read reviews but nothing is better than the OCUK view. Anyone here used them?

Never used that particular Kumho tyre, but I had KU39's on my Mazda 3 and found them to be very good. My friend got some for his E36 and had a similar experience.

i also have used the Kumho KU39 they are ok for the price. i do prefer the goodyear eagle f1 though. i find the KU39 have a bit of give in them where the f1 was planted

Not heard of that particular model/tread could be good could be cack.
HAev you looked elsewhere?

In your size Tyreleader currently has:
Proxes T1R 65.99
Nankang NS2 39.99
Uniroyal RS3 80.99

Asda tyres:
Uniroyal RainExpert 66.50 -
Avon ZV5 67.40 -

Mytyres:
Uniroyal rainexpert 52.50
Avon ZV5 53.20
Vredstein Sportrac5 55.40

After a few cars I've fully converted now from buying part worns to brand new, yeah they were cheap but tbh a false economy.

Get somethign decent that will last, from the list above the Avon ZV5 are a good all round tyre with a C/C rating, the RS3's I included because they are a fantastic tyre, altho a bit over your original price.

Those nankang NS2's have been getting good feedback too, considering the price they aint half bad.

FRom the list above I'd probably go with either the Avon or the RS3's, money permitting. Just tell the local place you have fit them about the prices and see what they can do, you'd be suprised, I've had a really small local garage undercut these big tyre dropoff companies before :)

Thats what I thought too mate but I've heard some good feedback on the NS2's
Not something I'd buy personally but looking at the type of tyres OP is looking at thought I'd mention it.

I've used them in the dark and distant past (the NS2, doubt they've changed that much) - they are terrible in the wet, just like every other budget tyre i've ever experienced. The likes of Kumho's (Ku's at least) are markedly better in that respect

They sound a bit cheap and nasty, even in the caster wheel size. Do you have a tight budget?

I've had KU31's on my current (pug 407) and previous (MkIV Golf) car.
IMO There's not much difference -wet or dry - between them and the CS5's I have now.
They're not as good as the F1's I had on the Golf, but they did last longer!

Don't assume the EU tyre label thing is accurate, either.
Try searching the same tyre in a different size to see the variation in results.
