US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

The second half of season 4 was fantastic...honestly can't believe some of the negative comments in here about it lol. Good story, much darker, actually felt like watching a good horror/ thriller with all the suspense moments. The show hasnt been this good since season 1...it seems its finally back on track.

because the dialogue (as always) is/was disjointed and the acting pretty **** poor bar a few key characters, not to mention glaringly retarded set pieces (the dude getting chomped by a zombie on the railway when lesbian and coach find the sign to head to terminus).

sure, there were a few good episodes, but that doesn't change the fact there is so much filler...
 
I have rather enjoyed The Walking Dead up to this point, but I don't know if it's because I'm simply watching it to see how the characters develop, rather than waiting for the shock factor that a lot of people are looking for.

Comic is still going, I read an article the other day from someone trying to analyse at which point the TV show might catch up to the comics and they surmised it would be at around season 10 based on current trajectory. Obviously all speculation, however the comic shows no sign of stopping any time soon.

I quite enjoyed season 4, not sure why so many people disliked it so much.

Loved it more character driven
the scene where Beth just gets kidnapped was so unexpected and the killer child story was great there simply wasn't any help for her and no option either...

These characters are not at terminus are they?

Have they said season 5 is the final season this has loads of legs .....

Surprised they haven't come across the army more if anyone was going to survive it would be them...

I just hope they can afford bullets in season 5 because the CGI'd muzzle flashes from some of S4's episodes looked soooo lame.

The CGI is a bit naff at times. As well as the effects.. I don't understand why corpses that are what, 1-2 years old at this point, are still juicy and filled with nice clean red blood? Blood coagulates and turns to gel shortly after death.

In this though, they seem to explode in a cloud of red when anyone hits them.
 
Cant wait for Season 5, loved the previous seasons. I'm not gonna lie, but there is some slow episodes throughout, but the finale so to speak is always brilliant. I don't think fans will be disappointed in Season 5, as they are calling this the best season too date. The reason it lost track a little bit in previous seasons was probably due to the lack of input by Frank Darabont. Fans and viewers can't get sick and tired of TWD, we are too emotionally attached to the characters.
