Hi All

Just though I'd Share my experience with Sapphire/OCUK RMA Experience

I Sent My Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11227-00-40G) from Northern Ireland (Next Day Delivery)
on Tuesday 15th.

Jsut received an Email Today that Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11227-00-40G) is beign Shipped DPD 2 Day Delivery. ( unsure if old one repaird/brand new)

Either way thats 15Calander Days / 11 working days (includes 2 day shipping time scales from OCUK)

Considering Sapphire RMA states can take upto 28 Days.

Have to say a thank you to OCUK for the Great Support.

Still hasnt been perfect having to wait 2 weeks going from 60+ FPS in ultra to less than 20 fps in lowest setting ahaha

That's great news!

Its good to hear these manufacturers cleaning up their RMA process and having a vendor like OcUK must really help!

I hope the one you receive back gives you a better experience!

I never had to RMA a graphics card before and hopefully I will never have to - but - isn't two weeks a pretty long time? Considering its my only source of video output, that's a long time to be without a working computer.

in general yes 2 weeks is a long time.(some vendors are 6+weeks so im thakful)

if you dont wana be in that situation then either buy a cheap backup or change to a brand with UK rma (can still take a week)

or buy a less quality brand like xfx who ocuk have agreed special 48hour rma times with

Was postage covered?

i paid the postage to OCUK. they Covered Postage to Sapphire RMA centre (europe i think)
They are covering return postacge of new item.

they probably could have covered initial postage to them, but tbh i wasnt overly worried.

"brand new replacement from OCUK stock coming" other retailers would have made you wait from stock from manufacture RMA distributor centre.

so im more than happy with the service OCUK have provided.

just wish they would get better courrier to NI . as DPD are pretty useless and over priced. Seeing them Start to use Collect+ would be good as they offer a deliver to store option meaning no missed deliverys and a lot stored open late 7days a week unlike roymail/PDP offices

There centre is in Hungary. Had to RMA a 4850x2 a long time ago, i had no warranty on it either, bought as is on Ebay and was bust when i recieved it. They replaced it regardless.
