When you get the custard it will need another two weeks imo. I'm sure he isn't steeping it as much before putting it up for sale.

Speaking of which, I've got a 30ml bottle of 12mg VG heavy going spare that was ordered the end of June, anyone interested?

You mind holding on to it? Im sure I could take it off you when i get paid in a weekish?

So steep it for another 2 weeks aye?

Could do, will see if anyone else is interested though too. :)

You don't have to, but I think its better when its darker red rather than the light pink when you first get it. In fact, I've sure it used to be much darker when he sent it out. Like I said I dont think he's steeping it for as long between batches anymore. Too much demand. ;)

Looking good. Do you chop and change all the time? Or do you have your go to's now and most of that is just accumulated from upgrading?

I was only a social smoker. Smoking maybe 20/30 a week. Then at festivals/ holiday / fishing. So spending a lot of money on vaping gear I struggle to justify, although I do love vaping.

That's difficult to answer. I go through phases now. But a lot of this accumulation was in the quest to find what works.

Sometimes I go on a regulated mod kick. This used to lead my to my vamo, but more recently my SID, and when I'm out and about, or travelling, my MVP.

When I'm at home, I generally prefer dripping. This is where the mechs make more sense, as they can obviously fire the super low resistance builds. And I like to try different drippers, so it makes sense, to me at least, to have a different mech for each dripper. Plus it allows me to change between flavours easily.

As for the atties, it's an accumulation on my road to find what works for me. Currently it is drippers at home, and Kayfuns when out. But I used to be very fond of the Aspire BDC's, and the Protanks. I started out more on the evods, which were fantastic at the time, but I don't think I've had a toot on one in about 9 months now. Might go put a microcoil in one and give it a wee blast.

Variety is the spice of life!!

Do you microcoil all your attys? Recently started doing this with the Mini Protank 2. Need an ohms reader though so I can be sure I am doing it right. Will try and perfect this art before splashing out on a kayfun.

I'm definitely interested :D Currently out of juice and have been looking for something at 12mg and VG heavy as I think I might have issues with PG and shortness of breath :(

Let me know :)

Ha ha. I couldn't do a coil to save myself when I got my Kayfun (it was actually a Russian 91% clone, followed by a 3.1 clone). And if I'm honest, I went back to pre-made coils like the Aspire.

Now I'm loving my Kayfun. Easy to build a 1.3 Ohm microcoil which is my tank sweet spot. I did put a clapton coil in there once, at around 0.6 ohm, which was a nice exercise in building complex coils, but there was too much metal in there to heat up quick enough. I have tried other coils at similar resistances in my KFL's, but I didn't like the taste from any of them. But 1.3 or thereabouts seems perfect for me, and I can chuck it on any device I own.

I have a friend who comes round every now and again, and puts ridiculous builds in my drippers though. I have one rocking a twisted 24 guage dual coil, another parallel 24 guage etc...

I probably will get a kayfun at some point. That clapton coil looks the nuts. Is it just a really long micro coil, wrapped in a coil? Are there any benefits, or what are the supposed benefits for having a coil like that?

Wont let me pay at the checkout at Grants VC.

Nevermind its working now.

Shipping is £2.90 in the uk.

Not cheap, hop its good stuff.

Hope you like it dude.

GVC will be at vapefest next weekend, if anyone else is going it may be a good oppurtunity to snag some or even grab a freebie if they're going.

I imagine Digby's and GVC are going to be very busy stalls!

It's a slightly thicker wire, wrapped with a microcoil of a thinner wire essentially.

I wrapped a bit of 0.5 with 0.23. But there was too much wire there, so it took a while to fire up.

Benefits are you get a low resistance with a lot of surface area, so you should, in theory, get better flavour, vapour and wicking with the clapton coil. Especially when you can't rock a dual coil like in the case of a kayfun.

I would give it another go, but I think I would attempt it with my 0.23 wrapped around my 0.32.

After using snake oil and loving it in my standard Kanger Evod kit I find the taste is actually disgusting when using my mini protank 2 on the kanger battery! I never knew the taste could be altered so much by a different tank.

Tanks, resistance, power, build, wick... They can all have an affect on the taste of a liquid. I have some flavours that are just lovely in a dripper, and vile in a tank. And others obviously the other way around.

And then you can mix up the liquids in different strengths, and PG/VG ratios, and flavour strengths too, depending on how you are planning on vaping them. It can get quite complicated.

Or you can find a set-up that works for you, with the juice you like, and be happy. But I like trying shiny things...

Xs2man - that nucleus is sexy. Very jealous.

Has anyone else made a complete move from mechs to box mods? Am under no inclination to use any of my mechs anymore, infact I'll be trading a nemesis and JM22 along with some atties shortly as they never get used!

Not yet, although I am about to start on some box mods.

The SX350 chips look very capable as regulated devices, firing down to 0.2 ohms, and banging out 50w (although the V3 330's can pump out 100w). But I don't have one, yet.

I do think I prefer box shaped mods though. But the main problem I find with them, is that the smallest of them don't have great 510 connectors, as there is not enough room once they have been suitably shrunk. So for proper sub-ohming on small devices, you can't really beat a tube mod.

That said, with box mods you can run twin 18650's, fully mech mods and the like, for epic battery life, so there is a plus point there. I'm still in two minds as to whether I go for another nice tube mod, or a twin 18650, os an SX chipped box mod next.
