*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Just ordered some of those ORB thumb grips too. My right stick is severely worn down now. Wasn't too bad until I started playing EA UFC. It was a little worn but not bad for around 6 months use. EA UFC has demolished it in the space of a month. It's almost completely flat now with zero grip and the plastic beneath the rubber is showing.

To be fair mate, this has been common knowledge for a long time and has been mentioned many times in this thread... should have bought some stick covers to put over the top. I use the Gameseek ones and they are great. :)

Both my controllers are still fine from launch. Maybe I don't game hard enough....:)

Both of my pads are suffering from peeling :( I'm very tempted to try and swap the sticks on one of them for some xbone sticks, I'm just worried i'll break something :o

I am in the same boat. Would love to replace my sticks with some fancy xbone ones but know pretty much 100% that I would break something!!

:(

From a legal point of view, the controllers are already broken. They aren't fit for purpose. So if you tinker about and knacker the controller further, you can try and put it back the way it was and return it under warranty to your retailer.

I got these and they fit perfectly.

I'm useless taking things apart and normally shy away thinking i'm going to break stuff. I managed to do it and if i can then anyone else can.

Again as above, follow the video down to the T and take your time and you'll be fine. If i can do it then ANYONE can and the mod itself is a brilliant change. That's also coming from someone who thinks the DS4 is the best controller they have ever used. I didn't think it could be made any better, suffice to say adding the xbox one sticks made it even more so.

One thing to note when dismantling the pad, be careful not to lose the rubber reset button out the back of the pad. It's so small and when you open it up its easy not to notice it fall out.

Why do I have to sync trophies to see them on the mobile app.

I think it was the easiest way to do it. I remember reading that Microsoft found it very difficult to get achievements working the way they do - seamless in both offline and online modes with no sync. Either Sony couldn't figure it out or be bothered. Or it could be impossible from a technical standpoint with them launching trophies as an add-on part-way through the PS3.

Right then... Ordered replacement xbone sticks for my ds4's.

Red for the red and black for the black.

Watched vid on how to do it on you tube.

What can go wrong??

:D

Just out of interest those with dodgy analogue sticks, what is the first digit of the controllers serial number?

I have two controllers from launch that came in the same bundle, one where the rubber has split (first serial digit 1) and one which is OK (first serial digit 2). There is a definite difference in the feel of the rubber on both with the one that has split being much softer.

I'm so glad they improved the sound of movies being played at 1.5 x speed, I can finally enjoy my films again.

lol ^ also moving notifications to the top-left from top-right xD

Glad they are spending their time working on the features we really want!

I wondered if Sony are compiling a Major Update with all the missing / promised features but had to force 3D Blu-Ray support out now to keep people happy.

All I know is I want that damn instant resume we were promised.
