Online Hi Fi dealers

Well some say the maplin's cables are not very good and just basic. Now if i went and got a specialist cable would i see a difference in quality of sound? what do others use in cable?. Does anybody use specialist cables?. And if so has anybody seen difference in performance from basic cables?

Specialist cables are made to relieve gullible people of their money.

These magic specialist cables do not enhance sound quality.

Another thing also. Im into dance music. Now from what ive been told silver is better then copper cable. But silver can be to bright on the ears. What are others prefference?

This is nonsense.

You need basic 2.5mm² cross sectional area copper cables for your speakers, and basic USB and optical cables. Expensive specialist cables will not make your music sound better. Anyone who claims otherwise is delusional, and can never provide evidence for their extra ordinary claims.

You can't expect Maplin to sell anything but basic cables! To get the magic cables infused with orphan tears that really make the sound quality go up, you have to go to specialists!
Hmmm wish you could make up your mind spoffie. One minute your telling me to go to specialist. Then the next theY will rob me LOLOL

I never said to go specialist...

I made a sarcastic comment about specialist cables. How didn't you get that with the whole infused with the tears of orphans increasing the sound quality?

Ok. Do you have any recommendations for cables. And where to go. I do understand what you mean about specialist dealers. All they want is your money

I already said; basic 2.5mm² cross sectional area copper cables for your speakers, and basic USB and optical cables.

The cheapest you can find of them really from a place that has good reviews. There are lots of sellers one eBay selling cabling that will work perfectly fine.

if you place a mobile phone near cheap non insulated wire you can hear the txt blips. Thats the only thing that matters, get some good gauge oxygen free copper (for long lasts) and make sure its got a nice thick jacket with some tinfoil/silver screening.

lamp cord is pretty damn good :)

Have you even attempted to google anything that's been recommended?

Or have a look on eBay? It's especially good for cabling in terms of accessibility and ease of ordering.

Speaker cable, just get Van Damme blue (2.5mm). Its a good, well made cable at a reasonable price. I have it on all my systems.

Off the bay, search for item 370998329225

Not sure what type of cable your after with the '3.5mm jack to RCA', is this just headphone mini jack to stereo RCAs? if so then any chunky looking well made cable off the bay will do. There are thousands to choose from all costing a few quid. (item 281360605896 for example)

USB A to B, nip to ASDA and get one for £1.99. Job done.
