Anti-semites criticising Israel

Here are some anti-Semites criticising Israel at yesterday's protest in Parliament Square:

If you look carefully you will be able to see a number of Hasidic Jews in front of the stage - terrible, just terrible.

A few of my Jewish friends are vehemently against Israel's behaviour. It's got nothing to do with religion and all to do with politics. Unfortunately people like to play the antisemetic card. :(

Hopefully we'll see more Jewish communities joining hands with others against Israeli behaviour. Doubt it'll make a difference though.

Of course there are Jews against the war. The only people who don't think that's the case are the ones painting all Jews as one thing.

You mean the ones accusing critics of Israel's barbaric policies of being "Jew haters"?

That hasn't really happened here (though the opposite has from a couple of posters) so I am not sure why it keeps getting brought up. Our media has managed to be critical of Israel without being branded anti Semitic, lots of posts on here have been critical of Israel without being branded anti Semitic, so where exactly is it that you are having difficulty criticising Israel?

Unless your head is stuck in the sand you'd have seen plenty of Israeli policy apologists in TV appearances and letters/articles in newspapers who equate criticism of Israel to hatred of Jews, thereby painting all Jews "as one" (with Israel, and Israel's government and policies). And that's without going into the hysterical comments on the internet by fanatical Zionists, who also attempt to paint all Jews "as one" when the government of Israel is criticised. I think you're just trying to obfuscate, as you can't be reading and writing on the internet and remain ignorant of that. Pretty pathetic attempt at obfuscation too.

I have been watching Sky News and BBC News and haven't seen this happening. Certainly I have seen people defending what Israel are doing, I have seen people criticising Hamas but I haven't really seen anyone calling legitimate criticism of Israel anti-Semitic. Same with the newspapers, not that I read them as much so it is possible I have missed some.

I have though seen a couple of posters in this (and other threads) using phrases like "They don't want to upset the Jews" and "Jewish controlled media" as well as one or two posters that have been somewhat worse, such as posting "quotes" from the Talmud that are completely made up and designed to make it out that Jews are evil.

It would take all of five seconds to find a dozen websites decrying the Jews for being to blame rather than Israel, that doesn't really mean that is the primary few does it?

On Tuesday July 29th 2014 by 3pm, the Israelis had killed another 100+ Palestinians and destroyed their only power station. This isn't just an attack on Hamas, it is collective punishment designed to force the people of Gaza to leave and to hand over their land to the fifth most powerful nation on earth.

If you believe that Israel would stop their conquest if Hamas stopped resisting, just have a look into life for people surviving in the West Bank.

Israel's activities are state terrorism pure and simple, backed by the West the British Government actively supports this terrorist activity.

There is an emergency protest and vigil from 5-7pm today (Tuesday) opposite Downing Street in London - please try to turn up and bring flowers to commemorate the dead.

Thank you

I am sure a protest to stop israeli action in Gaza would draw in a lot of people.

A protest to stop the israeli robber baron state terrorist british supported western conspiracy socialist worker remember Iraq what-anti-american-cause-are-we-fighting-for-this-week tends to get ignored.

Thank you.

Explain to me how protesting in the UK is of any use?

Explain how writing to your MP is of any use?

assuming i was absolute dictator of the UK, what exactly you would have me do?

Are you stupid? At the very least, even if we can't change the government's mind, we can express the fact that we are opposed to Israel's oppression of Palestine, instead of sitting quietly by while the people die.

Emigrate?

Meantime, perhaps you might consider actually attending one of the protests and listening to the speeches - you could even ask a few people whether they agree with your depressingly negative point of view.

Is it really too much trouble to write to your MP using https://www.writetothem.com/ or is it just that you don't believe in democracy?

The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor says she will not take action over Israel's deadly commando raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla in 2010.

Fatou Bensouda said this was despite a "reasonable basis to believe that war crimes... were committed on one of the vessels, the Mavi Marmara".

She said the ICC had to prioritise war crimes committed on a large scale.

Nine Turkish activists were killed on the ship as it attempted to breach a blockade of the Hamas-run territory.

Ten Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident, which caused deep rift between Israel and Turkey, former allies.

'Sufficient mavity'

Ms Bensouda said she did not want to minimise "the impact of the alleged crimes on the victims and their families" but she had to be guided by the Rome Statute, the founding treaty of the ICC.

"I have concluded that the potential case(s) likely arising from an investigation into this incident would not be of 'sufficient mavity' to justify further action by the ICC," she said in a statement.

Ms Bensouda said she had referred to the reports of the various inquiries that had previously examined the incident in making her decision.

So Isreal probably committed war crimes but they aren't quite bad enough to be brought to book.

Classic Israel. They have ways of getting to everybody. Wonder if it was actually Fatou Bensouda they threatened to destroy. She probably didn't fancy spending the rest of her life labelled as an anti-Semite and having to flip burgers for a living.

Just been reading up how US veto'd the UN resolution against recent israeli illegal settlement expansions:

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/meast/02/18/un.israel.settlements/

Since the end of the siege of Gaza the Israeli Army has now focused on Jerusalem, it seems everyday that the IDF are now trying to take over jerusalem with recent votes to claim Masjid Al-Aqsa as a jewish only sanctuary (it is sacred to all three abrahamic faiths and not just judaism - aka The Dome of the Rock)

The IDF are regularly storming it - escorting extremist Israeli personnel to the site and evicting any non-jews. I think it was only last week they stopped all muslims from entering the third most sacred site in Islam

Over here the western media has hardly mentioned it!!
