I know this isn't hardware but didn't know what thread to place this in.

Seem to be struggling on finding a suitable desk for my setup, casually looking around on the internet and finding just cheap flimsy desks from IKEA and other places alike and its just not what I need. I'm looking for a desk that is solid looking and well built to hold 3 monitors and a 900D case with room to spare, obviously the width of the desk will have to be bigger than the length of the 900D don't want any overlapping at all and also enough room for my keyboard and mouse, is there any places that do desks built to order because I'll probably not get a desk already built that will have all my needs stated above.

I'd suggest getting a kitchen worktop cut to size from somewhere like B&Q then pair it with some adjustable legs from Ikea

That way you'll get a desk that's exactly the right size for you. Any pre-built desk is going to be a compromise in some way

40mm solid oak worktop, you wont get much stronger than that. it'll outlast you. Sit it on a couple of drawer/ shelf units, or steel legs, or even use battons screwed to your walls.

This is exactly what I've just done, apart from I couldn't afford solid oak, so got some 30mm Laminate

Heres how it looks, exactly the size I wanted, battened to the wall on the back and right edge with a leg on the open corner

I built my crappy one out of MDF, it's little wobbly on it's own but it was cut to fit an alcove so wedged in there it can barely move.

Ebay has a lot of big high quality desks from offices if you have a van you could get a bargain.

You could just phone a local carpenter and ask them how much it'd cost for a simple desk.

If its not something you can do yourself then find a local joiner or carpenter to do it for you.
