Hi :)

Have an MSI GTX 770 that I got from yourselves a while back, am using an XFX 550W PSU.

If i get that new KFA2 780 will I need a new PSU as well?

Please God I hope the answer is no!

Hiya, should have said.

AMD 8320
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
8 GB 1800MHz Ram
MSI GTX 770
Kingston Hyper-X 120GB SSD
WD 500GB HDD
OCUK DVD writer

IIyama 27" Monior

Nothing overclocked or anything, all standard speeds.

Yeah, I am having that issue already, I think.

Am not sure what to do really.

Would I be better off keeping the GTX 770 for now and getting one of those CPU Bundles and a new PSU ?

Or getting that XFX R9 290 and a new PSU instead of the GTX 780?

Just found out that I should be using a 600W PSU already.....

Bugga ! I don't know what to do!

Depends on the titles you play. That CPU isn't the strongest and even weaker when running stock. You can overclock, just be wary of your weak board (4+1).

If you're mainly running well threaded games, then go for the 780...if not, no idea :D
Either way, the PSU will be fine.

Aslong as its not one of those older XFX PSUs that lacked proper voltage regulation circuitry :S should be fine.

With my CPU at 4.4GHz and 780 clocked to 1267MHz it peaks just a little over 400watt at the wall for the most intensive gaming scenarios, torture tests though are another matter.

Why are you buying a 780 if you have a 770? I would get the bundle as opposed to a graphics "update". Spending the money on the KFA won't be giving you any real tangible benefit if you haven't overclocked the CPU. Either get a new motherboard or a CPU/ motherboard bundle.
