Corsair H50 cooler buzzing

I guess i'm buying a new one. Any ideas which i should go for?

Ill run metro last light for a while and let you know. In the mean time - Question above, man?

Is it under warranty? If so, I'd get it swapped out and pick up a cheal £10-15 cooler to tide you over untill the RMA comes through.

If not, try the Antec 920, Corsair H50/H75/H80i or, if you want to spend more, the H100i or Antec 1220.

I'd check warranty first and then make a choice. AIO or Air cooler.

No warranty. I've messed around with it and plus, its been about 3 years.

Just want to make sure its compatible and whatnot. I'm pretty much a novice.

Heres a bit more information for you guys.

It doesn't look like i have much room does it? The H50 seems quite small compared to some of these fans. The wire to the PSU might block getting in a bigger fan.

Also yes, quite dusty!

I'd really like to order it today so i don't have to worry about ordering tomorrow. Do you guys have any opinions on which cooler, of the 4 above, for my case? (though only 1 is liquid cooling, i guess..)

You guys know much more than i do. Also installing it isn't too hard right? i've been looking over videos and it seems pretty simple.

What case are you using? as you might need to remove the motherboard if you sony have a cut out behind the cpu socket.

The Themis and the Antec are currently in stock, it might be worth going for the Antec.

You can always purchase a extender cable like the one below:

The case says Antec design on the inside, and nothing else.

Would it make a difference going from my prebuilt pc that had a water cooler H50 to a fan based cooler?

Just a few last questions for when my cooler arrives.

Do i have to take off the opposite panel of my computer case (Which i can do) in order to change the cooler? I've noticed with some of them you have to change the metal panel on the back of the motherboard, and with some you dont? Depending on which manufacturer it is, correct?

And, is there anything else i should know before attempting to change the cpu cooler?

Yes, that is correct!

You'll need to install the backplate provided and you'll normally have a cut out behind the motherboard tray for such a task!

Excellent, this is looking easier by the minute.

Also, will the cooler wires connect into the same places as my old cooler? I wouldn't want to blow something on the motherboard.
The thought of the wires are worrying me the most since the motherboard is so intimidating.

By the looks of things that may not fit in the same spot. The new one is much thicker , so even with one fan it's going to be wider than your current setup with one fan. Ideally you want to use two fans push and pull setup.

You can though use the fan mounts at the top of the case. That would be my bet.

So my fan would be vertical blowing out the top rather than horizontally at the side? But there is another fan there.

Also, i sort of meant the wires that connect into the motherboard to give it power and whatnot.
